thanks for your honest answers. i'll wait to get more info on the 1.8 manual, hard to find a good manual nowadays. i'm driving civic '10 now but the inspira interest me when u say 2.0p that means the top of the line 2.0 model with cvt? whats your average mileage per month?
2.0p the P stands for Premium means leather seat auto wiper auto lights + body kit and a free GPS. Besides Inspira 2.0 is using original Lancer Engine which is the 4B11 while 1.8 is using the older version engine which is the 4B10.

to be honest, stick with your civic, no point getting a same segment car, if want to change, get a better one straight.
i like my inspira, but i do feel that civic is better.
Civic is better but much more pricier compare to Inspira X-x

i dun intend to sell my civic for an inspira. my gf been complaining her city too under power & high fuel consumption. so thought maybe 2.0cvt or 1.8manual is the way to go since she likes manual. i myself used a honda jazz before and know cvt gearboxes really are effective and fuel saving. there are alot of family activities so more room is better. thats really good mileage. running on semi/fully syn oil?
Fuel Consumption is still depends on how u drive XD but inspira definitely has better fuel consumption compare to city.

yup, agreed..our cvt may help with FC, but not as much as it does for the smaller cars. the CVT for a 1.5 and 2.0 and 3.5l is fundementally different, that is why when you visit Jatco's website, the usual word that is associated with CVT which is improve FC is not even stated on the CVT for large vehicles.
bro sothy goes to the sc that can trade in.
im not too sure about syntium 3000's availablity in proton or eon, but i mostly do my service in eon. when mine reaches 20k km, will find out if it is possible to get it outside or not..then will hentam a mobil 1 in it.
but city 1.5 has only 5 gears + when it needs power to kick in Vtec seems to suck more petrol >< well Fuel Consumption really depends on consumer XD.

watch this video,at last there m3 vs prius, prius keep full acceleration, in the end m3 is more fuel efficiency than prius, i think car is 30% your right foot is 70%.

i have to disagree. if the m3 is on full acceleration, the fc would be way worse
i would say car 70, right foot 30.
it boils down to which car you are using.

bro, this is wrong, the 4b10 is not an older engine, just a smaller capacity engine.
4B series consists of 4B10,4B11,4B11T, 4B12

city has better fc than us, honda's auto trans' power loss is less than our CVT and being 1.5, it still still be better than 2.0l(FC, power...no need to say.haha)

O.o icic but Mitsubishi do not use 4B10 engine any more in their vehicles rite >< ?
lol but i feel city 5 gear and inspira 6 gears really makes inspira has better FC when driving at high speed XD >< coz Inspira can always drive at a very low RPM while city after reaching 5th gear it needs to consume more petrol because the RPM would go higher and unable to maintain at low RPM ><

overseas, the 4b10 are used in the lancer.
it is not about the RPM, but more of the engine capacity.

You guys drives at 200km/h mah...compulsory to use full synthethic.
Uncle... the engine temperature is very close when driving at full speed or when in 100% city stop start stop driving...
City driving will be worse for engine as the engine coolant is not circulating at the optimum levels, as opposed to driving in top speed. Also, when driving in high speed, the wind velocity helps cool down the engine to the level of city driving...
Another thing with city driving is that the duration and the distance traveled again is not optimum for the engine oil to lubricate and protect the engine fully, as opposed to high speed 30mins - 4 hours drive.
Thus, its even more ideal to use fully syn oil in city and short distance drive....
Again, my 2 cents only...

I want the light switch too, looking for one as i confirm that there is a harness/socket available in the car (attached to the dummy button)......
U will still need to adjust the max throw before installing the switch, as this will be the default 0. Going higher to 4 will DECREASE the distance (means lowering the headlamp throw), not increase it...

one word of caution, dont adjust too high, if too high, the adjusting screw will lari and you'll be screwed.
then the only way is to open up the headlights assembly and reallign the screw.
happened to my waja last time, and happened to a bro at the honda insight thread.

RPM does not determine EVERYTHING about FC lar. Kancil at 3k RPM and Inspira at 2.1k RPM...which do you think still have better FC?? Your car weight, cc, engine and other factors determine the whole picture. But if running at high speed say 120km/h...the FC of Inspira and City will probably be the same...just a guess, nothing to backup my statement. But what i do know, even at nearly full load ( 4 adults + 1 kid), i still feel the same power when driving the car alone......so if you full load a City and an Inspira and runs at high speed, quiet likely Inspira might have better FC....

Brand new cost RM133 only? Hard to believe because someone got a used switch at half-cut shop for RM150....so who is correct here? why yours so cheap and half-cut so expensive?
