congrats on V7! keep it up!

being 1st batch owners does not only simply mean we have more imported parts, it's more than that...the feeling of being unique on the road for about 2-3 months is priceless....turning head wherever you go & get people admiring the car and telling you that it looks damn good...even just as recent as last month, I was doing balancing & alignment at my regular mechanic shop..a stranger just came up to me saying "you have a very nice car & the mod is tastefully done" yet another compliment after I had the car for 6months...

so window with mitsu or proton logo is just only a window...nothing more nothing less...having more mitsu logo dosent make it "more" of a lancer but I am glad for those who gets mitsu window as we are paying rm90k car for almost an exact rm120k CBU ..that is another priceless feeling... brows.gif

you just believe 1 thing enough.... u have a good choice... u get inspira. not badge H and T. which give EXTRA TAX to government and u get lower variant. just dun care what surprise. just alway remember u got the best car can already:)
*
what you said is quite true, just enjoy the car and forget about small issues that doesn't play a vital role in how the car feels when being driven...those exterior things can be fixed up, but nothing compares to the experience you will get from it...

even if T & H B-segment models rides like a turtle, people still don't care because all they care is about the badge on the car is T or H only...that alone erases the sucky driving experience for most people..

You are referring to what gap? rclxub.gif Dunno if its the black color that camouflage the gap for you or I am already needing unker glasses...

As far as I can see from your pics, your car does not have any gap issues, unless you wanna complain to proton: "Left side 2mm gap, right side 1.5mm gap, please make both side the same?" Then I got nothing to say already... sweat.gif

LoL no la not complaining showing ngjx compare his and mine ... my chassis number 84xx but my windows are all proton not mitsubishi... what they said previously was the new ones are all mitsubishi windows ... maybe mine still consider old XD. From what I see mine got no problems the gaps for rear light is really really small which is only few mm ... I checked ngjx's rear lights edi the gap is abit bigger V6 page 112 find his name.
*
Oh I see, sorry about the misunderstanding.

Actually gap issue is a small thing & up to an individual to judge for themselves, unless the bumper can drop off or look like wide body conversion then there is a cause for concern,

I think I know why people wanna check very thoroughly because they dont feel right if there is no issue with a Proton, so they find ways and reason to make issue out of nothing so that it befits a Proton badged car... laugh.gif

LoL true, for me I want to trust proton and I hope Proton don't disappoints me coz this is my first proton. Temporary no problem =D I'm happy with my inspira.
*
Soon you will be angry with your Inspira..because it will make you a daredevil on the road, just like Matrix tongue.gif
Did you read his ipoh trip experience, 160km/h, and he claims to be a slow driver, rolleyes.gif

Actually i accidentally notice this when i wash my car n a few inside the car la... >< didnt really check so thoroughly la...
I also hope no problem at all n can last very long time... this is my 1st proton as well as 1st car also.... icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Bro, I am not pointing the finger to you, icon_rolleyes.gif I am just saying generally people thinks like this. Some people are just expecting Proton to build a customized car for them where all assembly are done by hand, inspected over 1000 times and given a red carpet to receive the car at KLCC twin towers, plus road closed for this occasion, you get what I mean? laugh.gif laugh.gif

QUOTE(Poadster @ Jul 3 2011, 12:28 AM)
Just to compare my experience... 2.0P with 4 adults... Used AUTO most of the way, except for a few stretch where I paddle-d.

InspiHELL (my car) performed very well on auto, no power loss and the CVT was never hunting up and down (most auto cars will hunt esp when the slope gets tougher)... during paddle, the CVT surged up to the MIVEC zone easily, and paddling from 6000rpm to the next gear, it never dropped to below 5000... this is the same as on flat roads, the advantage of electronics and paddle-shifters vs hands and feet of manual gear change....

(I still think paddle-shifting will beat any manual tranny car in a drag race....)
As for your body roll, I just did simple mods at the springs of the car... my wheels were screaming at a few stretch but the roll was not noticable.... my regular passengers that are usually vomit-ty when I reach the summit, are surprised that they are not... that by how much better the mod made the car...

in fact, some fellas here can attest on how inspiHELL's rear wheels was pushed to "slip" during another test drive session....  blush.gif  blush.gif
All in, the drive session up and down was fun, i over took many T & H and even my fellow german brands on M & B too.... am tempted to tiong a taxi, but.... next time, maybe...
*
Woi! Sleepy ah??? I corrected your MISTAKE!!!

YES, I sat in his car and it was one HELL of a test spring drive!! One guy was pray to GOD! and another fellow was hoping to see the DEVIL and the one who sat in front was super PALE and looked like he saw a ghost after the test... laugh.gif

if u upgrade 1.5CC to 2.0cc... wow.. many feel..
same feeling.. hahhaaaa

You are right, but also need to consider properly if you want the comfort of an inspira or dont mind a little harsher ride with an 18", its just about getting used to the harsher ride after the 18", but looks way better. honestly 18" gives the look it really deserves, so decide properly,

You think Toyota got quality? doh.gif Click siggy and see all the Toyota problems. At least Proton haven't made an expensive car that auto-accelerates, cannot stop and kills people like the LEXUS.

Wooi!! I only go at those speed momentary only. Not like you guys go 200km/h all the way.... tongue.gif I was actually trying to make a best FC record, but unfortunately, that means driving 90km/h on the left lane with the lorries....tried it for a while...cannot tahan....

Actually, feels sleepy on way back and was hogging the fast lane a while at 100km/h because my feet fell asleep...suddenly realized one car was cucuk behind me and i quickly push up the RPM and sped away at 150km/h....if you drive a City or Vios....you'll be desperately looking for a hole to crawl back to the middle lane.... whistling.gif

With Inspira, you'll know you have enough power to overtake most cars in most situations. rclxms.gif (Unless of course, you are cucuk by a Feralee).

Added on July 3, 2011, 8:01 am
jealous Proton basher who don't own an Inspira detected.  whistling.gif In your heart, you always want an Inspira. Just admit it. biggrin.gif

Added on July 3, 2011, 8:19 am
Yeah, the Inspira is tuned for comfort, not maximum handling...if we change the wheels like this, it's like trying to turn it to a Lancer, and in the process, neither here nor there...don't get the best comfort, or get the best handling....I am sticking to comfort since this is a family sedan for me...(and 16" tyres cheaper i think...how much is that continental CC5 anyway?).
Speaking of tyres, i haven't check the air in my spare tyres, how much do you guys pump for spare tyre in the Inspira? My Savvy spare tires also no air already...must pump it up soon.
*
Cannot tahan means already have daredevil blood lor....still want to deny some more ka??? tongue.gif

I prefer Inspira's look and it is well designed by Proton to say the least,

Although Inspira's look is not as menacing as the Lancer's, its like a tiger in a sheep's coat. Just like our friend Matrix here, always say drive very slow but when push comes to shove, he turns into a daredevil and the Inspira becomes a beast.

Either they are ignorant or wants spoon feeding... if one can visit the forum for answers, why cant one do a search on the internet and get some facts for themselves, better still look at today's The Star paper, front page advertisement clearly states "The power of MIVEC performance"

BTW I think this is the 1st time proton advertisement that has the MIVEC word on it. Probably to clear up all doubts for the doubters & naysayers.

BTW, you can try asking most accessories shops for the rubber stopper for springs... the sizes for Inspira is A (the biggest for front) and E (the smallest for back).... I got em for lesser than RM100 for all, but depends on shop....

Apa jadi??

To Matrix, welcome to the daredevil's club... Somewhat your comments dun jive. You say momentarily burst of speed to 160... but later paragraph say you went 150 all the way after kena cucuk by another car.. Which is which wor? Dun deny anymore la... drive fast mai fast lor.. no need to shy shy one.. All inspirians here all have the same problem... that is unable to tame the beast! The beast just gets the better of us all...  biggrin.gif
*
We already welcome him to the daredevil club many times if I can recall properly, but he always shy shy wanna admit he is one, but somehow always have stories of the daredevil stuffs he did with the beast... laugh.gif

When you start your engine and put it in D when it moves izzit 1st gear?

You just Proof that Poadster did not understand what I'm trying to say and you just answered what I want to know. Thank You.

Conventional Auto will upshift when it reaches Top RPM but it wont shift when you keep pressing your accelerator.

You think too highly of him.
*
when you put it to D, technically it is 1st gear but CVT do not have gears ..they run on diff ratios all the time & this is where you got confused thinking you get from 0-100km/h with 1st gear, because you didnt see RPM drop like conventional auto car but yet the car can reach 100km/h, the actual fact is CVT is working the ratio so you get the best possible acceleration without the drop in RPM which is more efficient...conventional auto when the RPM drops to change gear you experience a loss of torque for 1 to 2 seconds.. even manual cars experience this during gear shift while CVT can maintain high RPM throughout the whole process...I leave it to you to understand how it works by reading up or watch the YouTube video that ckk125 posted earlier for you as a new owner, because it took all of us sometime to grasp the concept too...

dont mind poadster's comment...the way he points out the obvious is always very BLUNT..we got used to it ...

That's the points Nzh what i wanted to know was throughout the process 0 - 100km/h did Mivec shift?? For convention auto/tradition auto it needs to shift but mivec seems like did not shift. My question was simple, but Poadster wrote something out of the question what does it have to do with do I know how to drive an auto car??? I find it offensive while others are supporting what he said which is entirely out of the topic.
*
my friend, MIVEC do not shift...I think you got confused with concept of MIVEC & CVT...both are separate system with different function, I think you should do some background reading then you will better understand the whole system..Maybe XC or ckk can help explain better...
