While in general the contis are heading towards smaller and more efficient engines, they can only achieve the power by incorporating turbos. Long term wise any idea how is the maintenance for turbos?
430km a week = 22,360km per annum. That's just a bit above average isn't it? The general rule of thumb is 20,000km per year (which is often what the warranties are pegged at).
Sure its above average. Thats why i had to get unlimited mileage warranties. But my reply was in response to KepalaPening who said he drives long distances per year as justification for the Camry. But i drive more and so do many others. Just sharing info with him.430km a week = 22,360km per annum. That's just a bit above average isn't it? Respectable enough it seems -
Here's some facts according to their brochure
0 to 100 in 10.3s
Usable torque will kick in very fast compared to its larger sized rivals.
200Nm @ 1500RPM - 4000RPM
I think FC can't be that great since the car is so heavy!
No point talking about features because this isn't sold here.
Any idea whats the 0-100kmph for the Camry 2.0 and Camry 2.5? Some websites claim the 2.5V as 9.8 secs. Here's some facts according to their brochure

You must ask yourself: "needed for what?"
If you want more power, yeah in general a bigger engine will give you more power.
If you want more fuel efficiency, in general a bigger engine will not give you better fuel efficiency. U can compare the consumption figure of the Passat 1.4 vs Camry 2.5 which I have posted above.
Spot on. Thats wht im trying to figure out. He keeps saying bigger engine and yet all his reasoning behind getting a bigger engine can also be provided by smaller engines. So im confused as to his real needs. If you want more power, yeah in general a bigger engine will give you more power.
