Doesn't make sense. 150kph on cruise or on foot should be similar in FC.
Not really. When ure in cruise, the car will try and maintain the set speed. But while the cruise is off, you may slow down on uphill climbs or go faster on downhill and use momentum to take you. Thus u get varied FC readings.
On a flat road of course both cruise and without cruise will give you almost identical readings. Im refering to uphill climbs.
But on hindsight, i think i face this more often when im at 160kmph and above. Not 140kmph.

I think he may be more adaptive, as in it is ok when the speed drops slightly below 140, or he may accelerate a bit when downhill, so when going uphill the car already has a surplus of speed and can thus climb easier.
Anyway, 140 in 6th shouldn't be much of a problem...? Unless you are going up Genting... How high are the revs at that speed? Could be an issue with the programming of the gearbox. Maybe next time when that happens you can do a manual override and force the engine to stay in 6th, then see if it can maintain the speed, if you have to use full throttle (think that also consumes more, so the gearbox is actually smart to downshift? Not sure...). Also compare the current fuel consumption between going up in 5th and going up in 6th, at the same speed.
Sorry its actually 160kmph. I dont recall facing this at 140kmph. At 160kmph, my revs are at 3250 RPM. The car will easily stay in 6th gear even going slightly uphill if i engage manual or even the Eco mode. Only the acceleration is gradual.
In the K5, the moment the RPM redlines, it will upshift automatically. You dont have a choice really. Redline is around 6500 RPM i think.
