QUOTE(faujc99 @ Sep 12 2012, 05:20 PM) wait i find the ori posting first. Need to know who is going and whos not. Also need all your phone numbers,. Will PM you guys Added on September 12, 2012, 5:34 pmDate: Sept 23rd 2012 (update 5th Sept 2012) Water depth: 40ft ~60ft (shallow) Jig weight: 40~60gram Action: Popping, casting and jigging Cost: RM135 per pax. Max out at 7pax. Since it's only shallow water, thus need not extreme size reel or extreme rods. It would not be tiring too, cos casting with jigs or lure, it's just light weight. Perhaps i should call this Feather Jigging.. LOL Rod: 8~17lb Reel: Any size reel that can contain 100m of 30lb Line: 25~30lb braid OFBN Feather Jig Venue: OFBN Boat: 50+ feet (it's not a fast boat, will take 3 hours to OFBN, however it's damn spacious) 1. RoryTate - confirmed 2. Chun - confirmed 3. faujc99 - confirmed 4. QiW - confirmed 5. Kumanosuke - pending 6. PK - confirmed 7. 1$ Kumanosuke Can you please confirm ?? Added on September 12, 2012, 5:42 pmUGPM Rory and Chun, Will discuss the trip with you all later. This post has been edited by 1dollar: Sep 12 2012, 05:42 PM |

Water depth: 40ft ~60ft (shallow) Jig weight: 40~60gram Action: Popping, casting and jigging Cost: RM135 per pax. Max out at 7pax. This is what i propose. Since it's only shallow water, thus need not extreme size reel or extreme rods. It would not be tiring too, cos casting with jigs or lure, it's just light weight. Perhaps i should call this Feather Jigging.. LOL Rod: 8~17lb Reel: Any size reel that can contain 100m of 30lb Line: 25~30lb braid As for jig, swivel, split rings, solid rings, 7lam of leader per rod will be all kawtim by me. No need to big any jig or terminal tackle, just use mine. If lost, so be it At least i could minimise costing for you guys In this case, anglers just need to bring rod, reel and line only OFBN Feather Jig Date: TBA - Tentatively Sept Venue: OFBN Boat: 50+ feet (it's not a fast boat, will take 3 hours to OFBN, however it's damn spacious) 1. 1Dollar 2. Chun 3. Fookie 4. QiW 5. Kumanosuke 6. PK NOTE: This trip will be spearheaded by Bro 1Dollar. Apologies for my non-attendance due to work commitment. Bro Chun will also be assisting Bro 1Dollar in regards of this trip. Apologies again..... |

QUOTE(kayent @ Sep 12 2012, 07:15 PM) u guys banyak racun la hahaha. MC is makes good and affordable entry level rods. bro 1dollar, i still havnt decide la...considering my options still. currently looking at MC rods. need to go tackle shop scout, pegang pegang n feel feel abit first. Theres no ending to this rod and reel combo game, after hearing stories of Dam fishing and river fishing, I dont think our UL rods will suit those fishing. It only takes 1 mishap or fish swim into roots, you have to cut line. Also as much as we want to practice and be a sport fishermen, we dont want to over exhaust the fishes by fighting too long. So, my advice is,.. keep some UL, L, M, MH & H setups just for fresh water heheeh I am getting there. Got my L, M, ady, MH / H / UL on the way. |

QUOTE(inv @ Sep 12 2012, 09:53 PM) You still ada minat? I tot u addi got the ltx? talak cukup? Btw i just realize i did a dumb mistake all these while with my MGX. i just spooled half the spool so no wonder i'm not getting the damn distance i'm suppose to. Just add some old cacated braided as backing today and went out to test on the field and you know what ? i can finally cast 5g lure at a very very satisfied distance and i can cast almost double the distance i normally could on heavier lures. Minor CBH issue pop up when setting the brake to zero but thats my mistake coz too long didnt do thumbing hehe. Gonna try em 3g and below lures once i've gotten my hand on some of them. If i can do it then probably MGX is more suitable to you than your current LTX and yeah i'm spreading more poison muahahahaha. This post has been edited by evildonkey: Sep 12 2012, 10:05 PM |

I tot u addi got the ltx? talak cukup? my ltx is just fine atm. my hati gerak because of the price. if i take a step back and think carefully, i don't need the mgx. i don't have any rod to pair it with anyway..Btw i just realize i did a dumb mistake all these while with my MGX. i just spooled half the spool so no wonder i'm not getting the damn distance i'm suppose to. If i can do it then probably MGX is more suitable to you than your current LTX and yeah i'm spreading more poison muahahahaha. i am still getting used to my setup. manage to cast quite a far distance with 4.5g lures with pinion brakes on minimum. still testing the swing speed, release point and what-not to get optimal distance.
