how much cheaper is the team seahawk compare to Yozuri Altima?

check the 12g spoon is about rm 3.20,i assumed that the 7g would b rm2.80. since daddy said was the same effect no harm trying tongue.gif since the price diffs big margin.

Haha Wild can get this size..unless go jeffery's J park lo.

I will cry and thanks god for giving me such big fish  brows.gif

refering to your pix.ur toman average only bro.if u try exotic i think max 6 to 7kg.and wild pond's toman confirm more power. icon_idea.gif

QUOTE(DizzyDestiny @ Sep 11 2012, 07:33 PM)
Yeap i do know wild toman can grow up to 15kg+
But chance are getting 3KG toman in wild with casting lure is rare.. unless use live bait
*
i strongly believe lure works better.using livebaits pros is ur livebaits definitely has better swimming action than lures, and d cons is ur parking ur bait there.if the toman doesnt comes nearby the strikezone,u'll just have to WAIT till it comes sad.gif
using lures..u can keep changing zones and and as long as u learned to use the exact lures it'll naturally produces good swimming actions.it takes alot of practise too icon_rolleyes.gif

Light bc or spinning?

Light bc setup gonna cost u quite a bit.

As for spinning setup, my choice would be majorcraft trapara with pflueger supreme xt 9225/9230. Nom nom nom..

Light spinning. Still considering either UL or L based on my budget.

nothing special ler. smile.gif nothing to show on or show off.. smile.gif

But most of what you guys mentioned are correcto. Toman in the wild are much more stronger compared to the toman in raring pond. Ultimately, different place toman have different brute strength too. smile.gif Bro Daddy will 100% second me on this point.

My best record was a 11kg toman on a 30lb line. It was HUGE and even having some sort of snout on the tip of the mouth.

I have to agree. With catches getting smaller nowadays, ul setup gives more fun.

Looks like shimano Aldebaran bfs xg is officially launched. Anybody got lubang?

Bro Inv,
Since you like UL so much, suggest that you get Platypus 4lb IGFA rated line from Oz. It's a mono.

If you are using 5lb line but braided, the breaking point is about 10lb/11lb, thus you can actually hentam much much bigger specimen smile.gif

Give a chance for the fish to bust your line ler... biggrin.gif

Been there, done that on my first official fishing trip with the LYN guys. Didn't manage to get the toman but was having so much fun with the red tail. 5lbs powerpro on biomaster 2500.

Igfa rated line ka? Must give that a go. Then again, I already lost a lure on my 12lbs vanish to the fish in Jurassic adi while using my ul setup.. many heartache..

vanish 2lbs or powerpro 5lbs is bang for buck nowdays. i used to get 2lbs fireline for UL last time but the price i see nowdays not worth it wei.

somehow got the urge to try out the nanofil for UL setup. am looking high and low for lower lbs if you all know where stock 2, 4, 6lbs pls lemme know smile.gif

it all boils down a lot to rod, technique and basics of fish fighting instead of brutely bringing the fish back to shore.

yup, asian red tail is good on this set up also. but i did it at the natural pond beside J pond on chicken innards... only managed to get asian red tail on UL, hv not hooked an amazonian though...
