Where? i was planing to go jurassic pond on this weekend too

Actually is 6pm~10pm good to get some fish from jurassic pond?

Guys I was in this wild pond nearby puchong bayan apartment scouting and I saw huge splash ,so I tried casting bout 20mins ,no movement,no splash nothing till I decide to quit and walk back to the car,and I saw a huge keli.. seriously huge under the clear water swimming away as I walked pass by..question is will keli take sp?

Actually, I took it out for a field test this morning. Reel is Cbh king. Magnetic brake setting must be at the highest n maybe 1 notch lower. anything lower and confirm will goreng.

Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with this setup. 3.5g lures cast like a charm. Lower than that is possible but won't get the distance.

Try adjusting your tension knob and lubricate the IVCB4 brake pad.

I dont have a reel, my 4k reel not back from warranty claim.
THink Hon should have some spares in his car.... kinda greedy to play bottom and jig but only 1 rod.
argghh cant make up my mind yet.... give other priority first.

Pay by per kg.. if lucky get more fish then the cost are more expensive than J pond ler..

at least if u SPK (unlikely lar) also need to pay RM3 niah la... compared to the RM100 for the latter.

all in all it was a fun and nice trip.
eye ears opening experience for me to learn from so many sifoos especially daddyvw.
new friends and experiences gained, didnt catch as many fishes as we anticipated, water was low.
biggest catch was a sebarau close to 2 kg at the last lubuk on the way back.
tengas ada, kelah ada... macam macam ada!

Water depth: 40ft ~60ft (shallow)
Jig weight: 40~60gram
Action: Popping, casting and jigging
Cost: RM135 per pax. Max out at 7pax.

Since it's only shallow water, thus need not extreme size reel or extreme rods. It would not be tiring too, cos casting with jigs or lure, it's just light weight. Perhaps i should call this Feather Jigging.. LOL
