guys i want to ask .. why rippetoe exercise so little only ah ?

3 X 5 squat .
3 X 5 bench presss.
1 X 5 deadlifts .

and some people add 2 X 8 dips ..

sufficient for the body to grow ?

Added on October 7, 2011, 8:57 ammaking and consuming 12 tbs of oats and 3 eggs used almost an hour for me =.= Sigh.

Because beginners will grow with almost any exercise. Just be sure to keep adding weight each time you squat,bench,deadlift,OHP.. trust me, its enough.

heck, even after 4 years of lifting i'm still on rippetoe for strength. It really does feel damn good when you can consistently break the records as such.

even at arm days i do 20 sets for triceps then skip the god damn biceps tongue.gif
preacher doesnt work shit for me
straight curl bar yes
i train my biceps like 2 weeks once ,since its small muscle couldn't less bother it
but its time to do some work on it
i think i genetically dont have a biceps peak...

you're destined to have an injury for doing that... the imbalance between the push pull muscles would lead to injury, so learn more and understand the mechanic of your body more... not just blindly do as u please....

because you are required to use a weight that you can do for 5 reps, nothing more. if you use a weight that you can do for 10, then definitely it's not enough

Okay now i understand bro. Did it in the gym earlier on. Dun dare to try max weight yet. Will try it on next time. I'll be doing rippetoe then. Since it has little set can save much time.
Anyway I tried dips, and cant do it properly. I din properly go down also but i did it 3 times only LOL ~ So how? Should i replace it with other exercise? Dam sad and disappointing sad.gif
