This club night thing sounds interesting.. People warned me that nottingham has no life as its in the middle of the jungle, however if stuff like this is organized it might be fun biggrin.gif

Two existing PhD students are close friends of mine, authentic Malaysian Chinese (one from Muar, one from Penang if that helps in making decision). The newcomer is expected to be Malaysian Chinese as well, friend of friend of mine.
All guys!

The room fits my criteria, but I am not Malaysian Chinese, I am Indonesian Chinese, can or not? cry.gif

I'll try to ask and see. If you can commit for 3 years, I think they should be pretty happy.

EDIT: Just recalled that you won't be here for that long..

EDIT2: Never mind, my friends still prefer Malaysian Chinese.

Well I will just have to get involved in lots of societies and sports I guess.
I was curious about what sort of dress code there is at Nottingham? If there's no official one, if someone could tell me what most students wear to class that'd be great.. Need to start shopping biggrin.gif

Could you please someone describe about the facilities existed in TTS7, 5 & 2?
e.g. Are there any shops, cafe/restaurant, etc?
How about the facilities are there in every 2-floor building?

The two courses are different in many ways. FAM is more like a niche programme (niche in economical sense) to cater the needs of the corporate world and Econs is more like a traditional university course. the former is a business course and the latter is more like a study of social science under sacred resources. The two are offered by separate department. It's quite apparent that they have way more differences than similarities. You'd be able to make a clear choice had you think through what you really want to do.

Important note: As mentioned in my post few pages back. Econs students can take the core subjects from the Business Schools as optional module. Meaning you'd be able to do Econs and still allowed to study one of the F,A, and M if you wish. Not quite so for the reverse.

Now, go some more research and apply fast. Good luck.

Thanks a lot for your input! I initially applied for FAM but had a change of mind and applied for Economics today. don't know how soon they will get back to me though, hopefully by the end of the month because I had plans to apply for the Diamond Jubilee Scholarship :/ I don't think I will be able to get my offer letter in time though.
