Eh, speaking of internship, most of the companies require CGPA / GPA marks. How do I convert my percentage to CGPA / GPA. I've googled about it, but there is a lot of different calculation. Any idea? smile.gif

Added on April 3, 2012, 9:55 pmBy the way Jin Jack, kindly add some information on the first post. For BA (Hons) Finance, Accounting and Management, entry requirement is BBB. smile.gif And under the members' list,

Just tell the company Nottingham doesn't go by CGPA. Tell them your current average will put yourself into what honours. That's what they want to know I believe.

Internship is done during the summer break, which starts from early June till mid September. The minimum requirement (at least for mechanical) is 10 weeks, but most people did 12 weeks, which is equivalent to 3 months. Finding industrial placement is the responsibility of the student. At times, you'll receive emails from the lecturer in charge about some companies wanting interns and you have to follow up yourself.

Alright. Thanks! smile.gif. What if one fails to secure internship?

That is the exact reason why students are encouraged to do it in between Year 2 and Year 3. So in the worst case they can still try again in between Year 3 and Year 4. Else, they cannot graduate!
It's up to the student actually, whether he/she wants to find an internship, get it done to ensure graduation, or don't do it, and no need graduate.

I used to be like you - worried too much about those. No worries, just be mentally and physically prepared, go to class, usually there is no lectures in the first week, only housekeeping stuff. smile.gif And normally we have an outline about the modules, from there, you know what are your core textbooks, etc etc. Our library has most of the books as well. Hope this helps.

Just the local 2 years. Unless they have changed, else students going there will receive some sort of discounts like 1k GBP per year for tuition fee.

If I am not mistaken, Chemical and Mechanical has >100. Civil is comparatively less. No idea about EE as they spread across quite a few courses.

If possible, it's always enjoy your 1-year privilege to stay on-campus. Edu Square is not that much different from the normal TTS5 etc, just better furnished. Only two rows of them are guarded and the rest of them are scattered around TTS5 (a residential area) with timed patrol at nights. Plus, they are overpriced.
So, the strategy is to study on-campus, then gather a group of friends and rent a house on your own in the future.
