Lol..test the car until 1 hour...you think you buying BENTLEY ? Even people who buy Bentley dont test until 1 hour..

So after testing for 1 hour, you better as hell be sure you book the car. These are the people who make the real buyers suffer and wait ..After u got ur K5,pls post up some pics here ya cybermaster
Kevin, if you know me well enuf, ull know that im a person who will kaji something as much possible before putting my money on it. I am targetting the WWR number plate so i have the time to analyse and make an informed decision. Bentley or otherwise.

Why should real buyers suffer and wait if i test drive for 1 hr? Doesnt make much sense.

I'm curious though as to how you managed to wrangle a unit for testing since official test drives are only available mid March?
Actually many showrooms have a trade plate which they use to transport cars from the port to the showroom. They can use this trade plate for test drives. But i heard that these test drives are only offered to ppl who are genuinely serious. So if ure just a walk in customer, then u have virtually no chance of getting the test drive. I visited the showroom about 5 times before i had a chance to test drive the 1st time.

IS IT 2011 CAR OR 2012 CAR ?
I MEAN THE DISCOUNT THE sa OFFERED. THANKS .
Its a 2012 car for sure. Im surely not gonna accept a 2011 car for anything less than a 7K discount. BUt there are 2011 units available but not sure how much is the discount.

K5 door feels cheapo and light..Its even lighter than my honda city too..
You know very well this isnt true. Lets talk with facts shall we? After your comment on the light doors of the K5 a couple of months back, i went around and tested the doors of the Camry & Teana and the K5 door is just as solid. Only the rear doors on the K5 dont feel as solid but its no way lighter than the City.

i think those cars are registered vehicles for K5 buyers, whom already has their name on that particular car.

if not mistaken, transporting car to showroom doesnt need a number plate, i.e. a roadtax.

so, basically i think you're ramming up someone else's car ><

i have a 2011 civic currently

my list are :
citroen c4
jetta
optima k5
new camry 2012

currently looking more towards c4 for its built, quality material, look and specs are generous for its price, IMHO.
I would say the specs on the K5 beat out all the cars mentioned above. From your comments, you are looking at only cosmetic quality while the main draw of the Optima is its specs, interior space, exterior design & its price. The K5's quality may not be on par with the Japs for sure but its surely much better than all previous Korean makes.

If the Camry, Teana or Accord had the same specs the K5 had, their prices would be approx 170K for the 2.0L model. Thats a good 26K difference. I think the K5 is a good choice especially with its 5 yr unlimited mileage warranty.

Read my post again. I said TRADE PLATE. Do u know the difference? The car i tested in Ipoh has been sitting in the showroom for 3 weeks and is still there. I know its the same car cuz of the chasis number on the windscreen. Cars that are awaiting delivery are kept at a separate location at the back. Feel free to visit the showroom and see for yerself.

What are the best interest rates so far for car loans? I heard that Affin is offering 2.45% for 5-7 yr loans.

Most banks r offerin at 2.5% based on 100k 7 years. This would be the benchmark to shop around.

Its oso a bit tougher to obtain a hp loan now.

I think that was the old interest rate. I heard not only Affin but also other banks are lowering rates. Someone even mentioned that Maybank is offering 2.3%. Not sure how far thats true.

no one has any comment on k5 ICE? does the infinity sound system is good? need to get the feedback, if the sound system is not good, might need to reserve money to upgrade the sound system.

Apparently it's the same system installed in overseas models that have gotten exceptional reviews

Example

QUOTE
When I first read contributor Terry Miller's review of the Infinity audio system in a 2011 Kia Optima EX, I had to make sure this was the same guy I've known and worked with almost 20 years. The one that's a hardcore aftermarket audio guy who made a name for himself in "sound-off" circles back in the day, first as a top-notch stereo installer/sound-quality competitor, then as respected car audio competition judge and later as promoter of some of the most popular and respected shows in the South.

Could he have really liked the 8-speaker premium Infinity system in the Optima EX that much? Although I obviously trust Terry's opinion and expertise enough to hire him as a regular contributor, I still approached listening to the identical setup in our long-term 2011 Optima SX Turbo with skepticism. And while our reviews differ, our opinions on the Infinity system don't.

This rate of 2.5% was offered 3 weeks ago. Affin is known to throw rates. Not mistaken lower rates is offered if the loan amount exceeds ie.200k?

The best thing is to bring along a thumb drive with your favourite mp3s for an audition in both cars for a fair assessment. Play the exact same songs and listen for differences.

This may be a bit off topic but I was just checking car loan rates in America. Cities like New York is around 5.8% while LA is around 6.4%.

Did you also know that the 2013 BMW 328i only costs US$37,000 so even with a 6.5% loan for 5 years, ure only paying US$800 per month! Plus there is no federal road tax. Only an annual registration fee which varies according to state. shocking.gif

Most ppl will only take a 50% loan or buy cash if they had the money. When will we see such car prices in Malaysia i wonder...... cry.gif

The sound system is good with solid base but I've experience two show car at different location and noticed that the speaker sound is breaking, not so durable I guess. But probably it might be due to the customer testing it out at the highest volume? Anymore comment on the sound system? I've also read from this forum that 5 years warranty doesn't cover the sound system. Anyone can re-confirm that on this?

The other downside that I've noticed is the side rear mirror. It is just flat, unlike camry rear side mirror (slightly curve at the end) that are able to cover more blind spots.

Yes, its for the optima. Maybank.

2.3% is offered if u hav a higher loan amount. 200k is juz a approx benchmark to obtain such low rates. I m curious to find out if any bank is willing to go tt low at this point of time.
