It will be credited on the next month's statement, unlike M2C or OCBC Ti.

Yup. I called CS, and he told me that.

called the UOB CS last week to ask how to waive the RM50 govn tax, they say just go to branch to apply and spend RM300 min when receive the card before 1st statement issue then the govn tax will be waived.. how true it is? i dont know but i apply today already coz my current stand chart give nothing to me so better switch to cash back CC tongue.gif

I applied it yesterday. From what they told me, swipe a minimum of 3 times in 2 months in order to entitle for RM 50 cash back rebates..

I just got my UOB statement and my transactions with my Plat card in Singapore last month earned 5X points. But the conversion rate was 1.5% higher than my MBB Plat MC which earn 2X points.

So let's say 5X with UOB I earn 2.5% rebate. But since MBB 2X points also equivalent to 1% rebate, the difference is 1.5% which is the same as the diff in exchange rate. So conclusion no diff net net.

Also I was wondering how come I did not get points for my Coach purchase last month, so called CS and she informed me that since I earned SMART$ cash I don't earn UNIRinggit. But that's ok, since I get 5% SMART$ cash for Coach.

my very own opinion, very bad experience with UOB.
they promised to waive some service tax, but it has dragged for up to 5 months still nothing being done! The card now lies in the drawer.

I suggest you have it mailed to a place where you are regularly at, eg; office / current house.
