Ya, that RM50 GST is charged in the 1st month statement. I got my UOB Vox card by the end of May and I feel wana cancel the card as it doesn't bring any benefit to me  sweat.gif

According to UOB CS the gst will only be credited back if spend RM 300 within 2 months after card issuance.

Application approved, now waiting for the snail mail from UOB. I think banks should abolish sending credit cards by snail mail as it can be easily intercepted by corrupted posmen, which had been reported in the news as well.

Just received the card via snail mail. There is two level envelope as protection & the envelope containing the cc has sealing sticker attached.

One thing, the card looks much better than in the picture.

when did they approved your application ?

QUOTE(uhlaw @ Jul 8 2011, 05:43 PM)
Yup, same as mine.
Actually I applied this One Card via phone call since I have VOX card with UOB. No supporting document required. smile.gif

According to the CS, approved on 1st July.

The card is matte finished like those CIMB Premier cards & MBB WMC, just that it is white in color with small little glittering reflections dots.

I received a sms from UOB yesterday inviting me to Swiss Watch Gallery Pavilion on 19th July where in the sms it mentioned up to 60% discount. Well I knew it can be for Rolex watches and the event must be for their shop at the LG.

Recently UOB have been sending me sms instead of sending me invitation card, which by the way I think it is better instead of wasting paper on the cards. So I called the UOB number stated in the previous invitation to SWG which I posted at my blog.

The girl who picked up the phone could not assist me on what watches will be on sale and said will call me back. Well after half hour, another girl from UOB did call me to inform me about the watches on sale. Then I asked they have ORIS watches, and the girl said will call me back. Within 2 minutes she called and said yes but can't confirm on the discount rate. So I called SWG and was told the discount rate for 19th July event and boy was I surprised the discount rate was even lower then Watatime and Watch Shoppe.

Point is UOB staff did call me back and attended to my queries.

Click here to see previous UOB invitation card to Swiss Watch Gallery Rolex event at my blog.

Just attended an invitation (with some sort of cocktail event) at the Swiss Watch Gallery Pavilion for MBB WMC yesterday night. Looks like this watch outlet do try to attract a variety of banks' customers

my friend with salary 4k able to upgrade from gold to platinum for Maybank

For MBB2? Maybank dropped most of their Plat requirement down to RM 60k per annum, so assuming 13 months salary therefore RM 4.6k salary will do.

My friend who got his UOB One Platinum few days ago  so pissed off. He tried to use the card at petrol station and the transaction was declined. He called to CS and the CS replied that they temporarily block the card for no fair reason even after activation. WTH!

Cancelled my uob one plat visa (cheapo plat with 19k limit) card last week.

fark them, wanna me to swipe at least 36 times per year and minimum 3k per year to waive their annual fee. service tax rm50 is compulsory.

this kind of service and cr card in times like this is no longer accepted.

bloodsuckers!

GST waiver should not be a problem for new UOB One Plat.

For your cancellation, high chance an UOB officer will call you soon offering a GST waiver. This what happened to my wife Lady's Card Plat.
