QUOTE(gerrardling @ Aug 28 2011, 01:07 PM)
confirm, BHP get 2% smart cash rebate. so total cash back u will get including the BHP loyalty card is 5% + 2% + 0.8% = 7.8%

QUOTE(gerrardling @ Sep 16 2012, 07:48 PM)
the cashback has gone up already to 8%. currently u can get rm10 tesco voucher for 1000 bhp points. i think currently the highest petrol cash back on weekday would be combination of uob one card + bhp petrol on weekday

Very valuable info contributed by 64bit
QUOTE(64bit @ Sep 26 2012, 10:42 PM)
Update for UOB Credit Card: We can change the SMS alert transaction limit to RM 1 and above. I have successfully done so and got the SMS for a RM 40 transaction. Just fill in the "SMS Transaction Alert Service Maintenance Form" from UOB website at Useful Information -> Application Form -> Personal Banking. The completed form should be sent to UOB via fax, post or direct hand-in. Take note that the fax number written in the form is outdated. The correct fax number should be 03-26900121, those in doubt may call up UOB to confirm.

Well, I use my UOB card for touch n go reload at caltex station, I gain every 5% rebates for every RM 150 I reload at there. UOB consider that as petrol transaction , not bad.

Not so attractive to me. If I get this card, I would just use it only at petrol stations or cinemas.

And use other 2 CCs (OCBC Titanium & MB 2) for other purchase. These 2 CCs are still the best.  smile.gif

@Gen-X, thanks for the nice write-up. Appreciate the card comparisons.
*
Thanks milentechie for the kind words and reading my article (my new weapon idea was from your posting of the card casing at General Thread, haha)

Well, for those who are not eligible for OCBC TMC and Maybankard 2 Gold Cards, the UOB 1 Card is a great option for them to also earn 5% cash back from petrol and 2% from groceries which is way better than other classic cards based on 1X points.

Did UOB approach you btw? tongue.gif
*
How I wish they did tongue.gif If they had, the cash back table would have been done in such a way to show that the One Card gives the most cash back by pumping petrol at BHP and add a row where we spend RM1000 at cinemas, haha

QUOTE(jensen_tidus @ Jun 18 2011, 04:11 PM)
i've been using the one card for some time. After reading your thread, now i only know these great features are coming. the design were the same to Singapore One Card

i also studied their website knowing that on top of the cash rebate, we still earn the SMART cash.
so if they did not remove the original 2% smart cash out from groceries, then means i'm getting 4% in total ~~, and 7% in total for using BHP ~~ etc ~
*
Yes, if the 2% is retained for petrol and groceries, this card is great.

QUOTE(probiotix @ Jun 20 2011, 01:04 PM)
Called CS and have confirmed that existing cardholders will enjoy the benefits.
Also confirmed that supplementary cardholders also get to enjoy separate max limitations for cash rebates.
Eg: petrol RM30pm is for each cardholder regardless is principal or supplementary.

But......... bhp SMART cash reduced to only 1% effective from 1st july  doh.gif

Thanks for the feed back. How about Carrefour, Giant and Tesco? Also movie at GSC?

Yesterday bought a Coach handbag which was on sale at Pavilion using my UOB MasterCard and the Sales Rep showed me the 5% SMART$ earned on the spot stated on the receipt. Use the MC but pavilion only offered some discount vouchers and 2 entry for their contest, nothing great.

Not interested with this card anymore. They have put my application status to Cancelled without even notifying me until I gave them a call.

too bad for UOB. But I think they did the right thing as they had problems contacting you and something about your address. It's for your own good. Imagine if someone were to clone your card and they can't contact you.

QUOTE(David83 @ Jul 5 2011, 02:49 PM)
It's actually like that.

They said they wanted to call me to verify my office phone. I missed that call and they didn't call again after that.

Then, I take my own initiative to call the CS to check my application status. The CS fed back that my application status is set to Cancelled because they need me to fax/send in a copy of utility bill for confirming the mailing address as stated. But this is not my even fault as I didn't receive any call about this requirement. It's totally two separate issues. Don't you think so?
*
Then you should just fax over your the phone bill and your application would be back to pending right. Anyway, the card doesn't really affect you since you already got card that gives you 5% cash back for petrol smile.gif

I received a sms from UOB yesterday inviting me to Swiss Watch Gallery Pavilion on 19th July where in the sms it mentioned up to 60% discount. Well I knew it can be for Rolex watches and the event must be for their shop at the LG.

Recently UOB have been sending me sms instead of sending me invitation card, which by the way I think it is better instead of wasting paper on the cards. So I called the UOB number stated in the previous invitation to SWG which I posted at my blog.

The girl who picked up the phone could not assist me on what watches will be on sale and said will call me back. Well after half hour, another girl from UOB did call me to inform me about the watches on sale. Then I asked they have ORIS watches, and the girl said will call me back. Within 2 minutes she called and said yes but can't confirm on the discount rate. So I called SWG and was told the discount rate for 19th July event and boy was I surprised the discount rate was even lower then Watatime and Watch Shoppe.

Point is UOB staff did call me back and attended to my queries.

Click here to see previous UOB invitation card to Swiss Watch Gallery Rolex event at my blog.

Just attended an invitation (with some sort of cocktail event) at the Swiss Watch Gallery Pavilion for MBB WMC yesterday night. Looks like this watch outlet do try to attract a variety of banks' customers
*
yup, previously I also got an invitation for my OCBC Titanium to SWG cocktail. Last month or was it in May, I did finally go to their cocktail event and found out that the standard discount for Rolex has been reduced to 10% , free booze and was kind of drowsy when drove back doh.gif biggrin.gif But no point going to their cocktail events since they only giving standard discount mad.gif unlike previous OCBC event, they gave 1% extra on top on standard discount rate for Rolex.

OT. Besides CC, I also a little crazy with numbers. Click here to read my article Hokkien No.8 No.9.

So even if your 16 digit card ends with 8888, if you add up all the numbers and get No.4, to me that is no good too, hahaha

UOB maintaining 2% SMART$ cash for BHP? That's fantastic.
