Yo bro, I never know all these while there is such a hybrid machine out there

Seeing the config GUI, seems the router also support multiple SSID and this SSID can be bridge to others interface. Can configure one of the SSID to bridge with vlan 600. Get another router (configure as client) connect to IPTV, so you can have IPTV through wireless connection. Maybe someone can try this out.

yeah its possible you just need to trunk the vlan interface through the wifi interface and the other end bridge the interface from wifi to the ports

so u can have both iptv and internet on the other end...

TM currently dont cap...If cap speed will be down to 1Mb if over quota

mean using those dns also safe to do online banking lar.. i just worry abt it since it not using tmnet dns then will leak out my info only...

When the unifi will call you to confirm online registration + installation date. I register last 2 day and got 21/6 the installation date.

Just wanna know their SOP so I can follow-up with them.. Don't want on 21/6 I take a leave and nobody came.

Hey guys, got my UniFi and it's working perfectly (thanks Rattan!)

But yesterday I relocate all the equipments according to my designated points (switched off all units) and tried reconnecting it.

What I did was I accidentally plugged in the 2 ethernet cables to the STB and desktop PC, directly to the BTU (the alcatel lucent unit), and the yellow cable from the BTU to the D-Link router. Switched it all on again and can't connect to the internet.

Since then I re-cabled according to the original setup, still can't access the net. The landline telephone was ok though (calls in and out are possible)

Called TM and reported my case, but I know they won't call back so my resort is to you guys. I'm no tech savvy on the network section, so help me! Better if anyone can come to my place help me set this up all over again

the unifi technical came to my house yesterday to check my connection..the still couldn't figure out what the problem though..today they will come again to test..they said my line is great,..but every 2 minute and a half they connection down/stops..( no respond to their server) so they change the white vdsl to a new one(the black one that look like a router modem to me), but the connection still down after 2 and a half minutes.....sigh...maybe i should ask for a rebate?

Any chance of using TP-Link 1043ND with unifi like Td-W8960N soon?

Don't depend on these guys to call you, if you are worried then call CS and ask for confirmation of date and note down the name of person you talk to, if possible the contractor's name also. Easier to complain later if anything goes wrong.


Sounds like faulty DIR-615. The one in my parents house was DoA and they changed to a new one immediately. Even then I did not trust that router and been using my own. No problems since.

if the router faulty..the dsl shouldn be gone..because the vdsl is the one connecting to the tm..when they disconnect..all the light gone..dsl, internet and voip..

Wow, are you sure cap to 1Mbps even for say VIP10? If that's the case no point getting Unifi at all...

are you guys still having problem with the unifi keep DC and speed being slow then ok then slow then dc then ok then dc?

yours dc on wireless or dc on dsl line?

they called me just now enquiring bout my connection, they said my connection has been active for 8 hours. i said to them my problem is not on the router, it's the line(dsl) itself keep disconnecting every 2 and a half minutes. while its disconnecting the router light still green, bacause it treats the line maybe as time out only..after connedted, you can still see the ip address is the same( because the router is the one which connect to the internet, if you restart your router maybe you can get new ip address..)..but the dsl line is not stable..


ps: mine not that slow..its just when downloading from filehosting are slow..

is it normal for the router menu being empty?
no wording or what so ever all over the more advance menu
and i follow the hand book unifi athena for port forwarding
still cannot open the port
