When the unifi will call you to confirm online registration + installation date. I register last 2 day and got 21/6 the installation date.

Just wanna know their SOP so I can follow-up with them.. Don't want on 21/6 I take a leave and nobody came.

the unifi technical came to my house yesterday to check my connection..the still couldn't figure out what the problem though..today they will come again to test..they said my line is great,..but every 2 minute and a half they connection down/stops..( no respond to their server) so they change the white vdsl to a new one(the black one that look like a router modem to me), but the connection still down after 2 and a half minutes.....sigh...maybe i should ask for a rebate?

i'm having the same problem as you buy maybe 10mins in btw only dc since last week.
the earth symbol in the router keeps blinking very very quickly.
could this be the problem too ?

usually they will call 2-3 days before date of installation.

Best is to call them before the date to confirm the installation.

Seeing the config GUI, seems the router also support multiple SSID and this SSID can be bridge to others interface. Can configure one of the SSID to bridge with vlan 600. Get another router (configure as client) connect to IPTV, so you can have IPTV through wireless connection. Maybe someone can try this out.

QUOTE(JinXXX @ Jun 16 2011, 10:39 PM)
....yeah its possible you just need to trunk the vlan interface through the wifi interface and the other end bridge the interface from wifi to the ports  ... so u can have both iptv and internet on the other end...
*
Haven't really got time to try it out, since it's more like a draft-N, I'm worrying the actual transfer rate might not be enough to handle the IPTV, especially HD and/or during channel switching. sweat.gif

Previously I did test based on 2 units of TL-WR941ND, still gerking not smooth .....

Anywhere, lately been getting some requests from our eighbourhood SingTel exStream users to seek manufacturers to do something for them. Basically exStream uses:
Vlan.10 = Internet (Auto DHCP not PPPoE, real external IP, no MAC Address control & no need WAN Online Check)
Vlan.20 = IPTV (PRIO:4 CPI:0)
Vlan.30 = VOIP (got provide user & SIP password)
Vlan.40 = TR069 (only use for monitoring and firmware upgrade on 2Wire)

Currently testing on this prototype feature:
Attached Image
The VOIP is more for exStream users, not us.

Hopefully this will make everyone happy ! wink.gif
Once tested no problem, then will decide which model to implement.

Any chance of using TP-Link 1043ND with unifi like Td-W8960N soon?
*
You are not the only one, many more are asking the same including me ! tongue.gif
No worry, TPL is aware of such demand, especially when recently the TL-WR1043ND is selling around RM160 only drool.gif

Hi,

Maybe someone can help me here.

I have setup my connection based on rizvanrp guide, using a ddwrt router for wifi bridging for my PC up stairs. Everything works fine for 3 weeks.
Then last monday the internet went down, when it came back up again, only my internet is working. Both my phone and iptv is not working. Phone is just silence and iptv showing multicast error. Called unifi and they asked me to restart everything. Did that and same error. Unifi said that they will send someone this sunday(yeah right).
Anyway, I am worried that they would blame my setup for the issue and I really hate to use their router for my wifi.
Does anyone know or maybe can "speculate" if it is my settings thats causing the problem?
my tm router firmware version is 7.09. DDWRT version for both my router is v24-sp2.

I don't care much for IPTV but i really need the phone to work, Calling unifi helpdesk costs me RM6 on my prepaid sad.gif

My 1st installation sometime Sept 2010, applied thru agent. Abt 3 days later CS called to confirm package, date, preferred VOIP number. A week later installed as promised.

2nd installation, applied early last week at TMpoint. Then senyap. Called CS early this week and said installation on 23/8. I wouldn't have known that my application was processed if I did not call them. Yesterday they called again to say coming this Sunday. We shall see.

I don't know to conclude if they have an SoP at all.

why my unifi telephone doesn't have a dial tone? Just noticed it now. Rarely using it since I still have old phone line.

Is the phone problem or the line?

I just found the culprit, it's my sister in law's Ipad, asked her to turn it off and viola! This small device is such a pig!
