unifi vip5 user reporting in.

got an issue here. my phone (W995) cannot access to the net even though can connect to wifi. my other phone (Xperia play) can connect but sometimes got error. is it the line fault or the router fault?

Anyone watched HyppTV a few hours ago?
There's a moving information on top of the screen that mentioned there will be a maintenance tonight, I didn't bother to fully read it though.

I thought the maintenance is supposed to be completed at 4.00AM?
It's already 7.41AM now & yet it's still slow.

any of you guys have issues with the phone line itself? mine can't seem to make or receive calls, even though i have a dial tone.

WTA my bro and I both own a TPLINK wireless USB 54Mbps Wireless G but cannot connect to the UNIFI gateway directly. Is it only certain wireless can?

This unifi is hopeless, already made an appointment to install it today (1st August), but they never show up..... Failed even b4 service. 

Maybe I should delay the installation until this maintenance work is completed???

I'm facing INIT problem on my IPTV STB after pressed "OK" for Software Update today. Anybody faced such problem before and how do you solve it?

I've been rebooting the unit many times but to no avail. I have called the Cust. Service and they logged my case.
Any advise?

eloo.... TM's agent(most ppl call them resellers) IS ONLY DOING REGISTRATION, installation is done by TM's appointed contractors AND inhouse technician/installers.

the router they gave me can better campak longkang... b/g/n router but the connection is damn stupid one... always cut off...

There is no way you can setup the STB with wifi adapter and as far as I know, you HAVE to connect it via ethernet cable. Use homeplug la.

Well the guide says it's not for wireless adapter, but if somebody manage to hook it up and stream IPTV wirelessly then I pull back my words. Have you tried it yourself?

Please ensure you select the correct localised ISP (at the bottom), the STB (for Home-UniFi only) is connected through Port1.

anyone believe i can use Huawei HG655a VDSL modem as a router? Which means you can directly connect your PC to BTU for internet access. You can throw the D-Link DIR615 away and use any wireless router that without VLAN tagging feature. All router are supported!

I will prepare a guide with screenshot how to do it.

My Unifi is installed near my TV downstairs. If possible, how am I suppose to set it up so that the TV upstairs can be used to watch the IPTV? Ideally I'd like to add another router or repeater upstairs too for better signal.

can purchase another STB meh? how?
