A replacement product that is even cheaper than the previous model makes me wonder that where did they cut cost from? Yet this is their best selling entry gaming mouse, or even the best for that price range in the market, the only logical thing to do is to further increase the price or at least maintain it, more so when you have a few hardware improvements inside.
Maybe the simple design or change in mouse surface material?
because current G400 sensor that it provided is not considered to be mid-high end sensor anymore. if you based on how long has MX518 is release years ago with his sensor(high end sensor at the time where MX518 released, but years has pass and price kept dropping)
another 2 reason could be that they didn't redesign the whole exterior, so molding cost could be save just by reusing MX518 Molding.(making new molding is very expensive)
this could also leads to mass production just by using MX518 production line. i would have to say it is cost effective.

fps - razerzone.com/mouseguide/user/technology.php?glossary_id=19 btw, why new mouse? Abyssus sensor is good enough provided its upgraded with latest firmware... zowie is just rebranded explorer, so just choose the cheaper one.
kova+ easy shift with led light is omuth watering, but g700 can be use as wireless mouse is flexible...
For me, I would choose G700 if you are a palm grip gamer I have tried both of the mouse and G700 is more comfortable. As for the Kova+, it was good and has high performance/ price ratio. From my P.O.V, Kova+ is good for claw grip gamer.

hi, i am planning to get the g400 until i watched a yt video on his review. It seems it has minor prediction on it and it cant be turn off. My question is does prediction really affect ur gameplay? i do not play much fps, mostly LOL and rpg style gaming. fps is only for socializing. or should i get the DA instead?

If you don't play FPS much I doubt there'll be a major problem for you... FPS is the only game where pixel accuracy is that important. However, DeathAdder is still a very good mouse and if you can afford it, definitely go for it.
