Hi,

Is anyone encountering the TF randomly reboots by itself while docked? I have been getting self-reboots almost everyday... Checked in xda-forums and seems some people having the same issue there but no resolution.

Appreciate any help/feedback if anyone else is encountering the same issue.

Can't download from Android Market. Malaysia is not allowed I guess. Try getting it from external sources and it works flawlessly.

specifications mentioned on marketing brochures... if you read fine print, normally will tell you how the time is derived. in TF's case, it could be playing some video...

but anyway, it depends on what you have been using it on, etc... if set screen brightness to 100%, 100% volume, download stuff, play flash games, use wifi, etc... sure finish faster than 9 hrs... smile.gif

as viravira replied... skype is region locked. supposedly not available for download to MY users. but like he said, you can get it elsewhere...

it was one of the apps i wanted to download... until i found out -- no video calls on android. so, gave up and now looking into just using Google Talk. well, android is Google's product... so i guess should use more Google services. smile.gif

first of all, batt usage are 100% dependent on your usage, so it is expected to vary from their claimed hours. It could be more it could be less.

Secondly, your unit is still new. Normally batteries will not work at full capacity at the first few runs. This is the first time I hear someone complaining about the battery.

Last week, most of my friends were impressed with the battery life when I streamed a live tournament for 4 hours+ NON-STOP via justin.tv and the battery dropped about 40% , from 80% to 40 + %.

just to clarify...

skype apps is not available in MY via Android Market.

this official skype apps for android DOES NOT have video chats. if you check Skype website, its also mentioned. the skype apps is only for voice/ text.

on a side note, i'm not sure about skype apps for ios (iphone). not sure if got video call function or not.

and yes... because of the lack of video call function, i din bother to install Skype. i tested out Google Talk with video function) and my first test -- i'm happy with it. but i've yet to do a comprehensive test...

i dunno about it lar, never really time my usage, but note that those are 'controlled usage' in the spec, like laptops, they often claim 5 hours, but IRL it only last 3:30 hour for real life scenario usage, so IMO, 7 hours usage is quite ok

ya, i think it should be soon as well...

but for me... i am heavy Google user -- use lots of their services and my contacts are all ready for import. so Google Talk should also be fine with me... i guess just need to convince my contacts to use it. but if i'm not mistaken, Google Talk can do cross-platform... but not sure if its video or just text messages. sorry... too lazy at the moment to surf and check. smile.gif

if i'm not mistaken, to use video chat in Google Talk it only supported from honeycomb, web (gmail) or 2.3.4 gingerbread.

Google’s first Ice Cream Sandwich phone to be manufactured by Samsung, possibly dubbed ‘Nexus Prime’
QUOTE
This upcoming superphone will not have any carrier preloads or OEM customizations, which goes without saying for a Nexus phone or a reference/flagship Android offering. The current codename is “Prime”, and our source believes it’s possible that the phone could launch as the “Google Nexus Prime.” We also have information that Google’s onslaught of high-end Android devices isn’t going to stop anytime soon. With the Motorola DROID and Motorola XOOM, Google launched its flagship Android devices with one carrier and one OEM, but we’re hearing things might be switched up this time around. Our source indicated that Google could be working with multiple carriers and multiple OEMs on their own “exclusive” Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) halo devices, and that they may all launch around the same time.
