Wanted to ask , does your transformer have those high pitch noise whining ? anyone notice it when with the dock or the tablet itself ?

Now i understand you guys frustration with the asus keyboard. It is indeed terribly laggy and poor response especially posting on lowyat forum. I must say is a big difference vs the iconia which is smooth responsive similar to normal typing
I am now running asus honeycomb 3.1 on my iconia. Anyway i solve the lag issue by replacing it with stevelin gingerbread keyboard, at least is now close to the original iconia keyboard
*
Try switching to the Honeycomb keyboard or disable google instant ?

Means there is no obvious lag ; it's performance is very close to the original iconia default keyboard which doesn't lag - it is just like typing on hard keyboard, fast and responsive
The problems with the ASUS keyboard is mainly on lowyat forum website when replying or typing new posts ; replying is the worst

did you tried using opera mini for replying ?

Peeps, the xda guys are cracking open the keyboard dock to see whether they can fit in a barrel style charger connector. Looks interesting. They are even thinking of putting in another USB.

For the transformer tablet teardown refer here.

Comments are this maybe a highly MODDABLE (besides overclocking it)
tablet (no super sophisticated stuff inside like iPad2).
We may see some nice ideas incorporated once some guys decides to go adventurous with it.

Great news for those mod but guess will wait till warranty over to mod an extra usb.

most of us have light bleed. its just a matter of how bad it is, does it occurs to bottom part only for urs?
*
Bottom , like a LED light beside.
QUOTE(CyberKewl @ Jun 20 2011, 04:28 PM)
A lot of transformer units have light bleed, read somewhere it is 8/10 units which is pretty high..exchanging with another could lead to worse light bleed unless yours is pretty bad
*
Which batch was yours ?

16GB = RM 1879
32GB = RM 2089

If lucky a 16GB will RM 1800 and 32GB will be at RM 2000.Hoping so , but slim chance. As in Malaysia , I think it'll reach Malaysia at September where at UK will be on August .

Just got the Transformer with dock at Digital Mall yesterday. New stocks arrived yesterday but were limited. Just ask around. Some shops have stocks but were reserved. Good Luck

Transformer is unique as it has an added advantage with the dock. Whether an iPad is better all depends on individual preference.

Do you have light bleeding ?
QUOTE(alin jr @ Jun 25 2011, 11:34 PM)
alryte..thank you all for your kind reply..
one last question b4 goin to bed and dream about TF..

if i were to buy TF..is it like buying a laptop?handphones?
what do usually we get?or anything that we can get from the shop for free gift?and what the most important thing to check when buying it?
sorry for the lame question but im so noob..thanks
*
1.Easy docking
2.Every keyboard button works
3.LCD light bleeding / dead pixel
4.Tablet sitting evenly on a surface
5.Touch screen working + camera
6.Speaker sounds evenly on both side
7.And make sure not bumps or scratch

QUOTE(Lazyboy @ Jun 26 2011, 12:12 AM)
See if you can get a carrying pouch or higher capacity SD card.  Maybe top up a bit for the card.

If you are buying both tablet and dock, check to see if the tablet can dock properly with the KDS, check to make sure when docked it is secure and doesn't get loose easily when you lift it or move it around a bit.  Also check to see if anything misalign when you have docked the tablet and closed down the lid.  Check to see if you can tolerate the reported light bleeds.  It doesn't bother me.  Also check for dead pixels.
*
How to check light bleeding and dead pixel on the spot ? got any black background to check for both ?
and also how to check those keyboard button one by one ?
