From user experience point of view, I would say ipad is better than TF. Why? Not totally Asus's fault but also google.

Imagine that, I don't have to worry about common apps (such as skype) can't be downloaded from appstore, if it is restricted to region, you can simply get a US account and that's it, you don't have to hack here and there, passing thru this proxy that proxy to get access to the market.

Where the experience of using this tablet, I would say bad... first it comes with the market issue where you can't even download the flash player (ya, this sounds lame) and it keep asking you to download. Application keep crashing, keyboard lagging issue in the default browser. Since we have one default browser, why should I pay for dolphin or some other 3rd party browser? Just because of keyboard lagging? Compare this against safari in apple, no such problem.

There are a lot more issues than the above mentioned but I will just stop here.

Anyway, I am a TF, ipad and iphone user too.

In Lowyat on 3d floor, a few meters from evernew, don't know name of the company anymore.
Evernew did not go lower than 1799 MR    , their competitors could go to 1690 
On same floor there are 2 bigger walk inn shops, 1 of them also went down to 1699 MR.

Just get this device yesterday. Version 3.1. Without keyboard.
Tested browsing it will auto exit after 10minutes.
Also scrolling isnt as smooth as ipad.
Battery life also short if compare to ipad. I wonder if asus has the technology like ipad with smart battery charging which prolong life cycle of the battery?

can u check what channel your modem is using? previously my router(unifi) auto set to channel 13 and i cant seem to connect as well, but after changing to channel 9, it can connect without issue already

Can't download from Android Market. Malaysia is not allowed I guess. Try getting it from external sources and it works flawlessly.

specifications mentioned on marketing brochures... if you read fine print, normally will tell you how the time is derived. in TF's case, it could be playing some video...

but anyway, it depends on what you have been using it on, etc... if set screen brightness to 100%, 100% volume, download stuff, play flash games, use wifi, etc... sure finish faster than 9 hrs...

as viravira replied... skype is region locked. supposedly not available for download to MY users. but like he said, you can get it elsewhere...

it was one of the apps i wanted to download... until i found out -- no video calls on android. so, gave up and now looking into just using Google Talk. well, android is Google's product... so i guess should use more Google services.
