If you guys were to buy a tablet, shd you wait for Galaxy tab or just this this simply awesome TF?

From user experience point of view, I would say ipad is better than TF. Why? Not totally Asus's fault but also google.

Imagine that, I don't have to worry about common apps (such as skype) can't be downloaded from appstore, if it is restricted to region, you can simply get a US account and that's it, you don't have to hack here and there, passing thru this proxy that proxy to get access to the market.

Where the experience of using this tablet, I would say bad... first it comes with the market issue where you can't even download the flash player (ya, this sounds lame) and it keep asking you to download. Application keep crashing, keyboard lagging issue in the default browser. Since we have one default browser, why should I pay for dolphin or some other 3rd party browser? Just because of keyboard lagging? Compare this against safari in apple, no such problem.

There are a lot more issues than the above mentioned but I will just stop here.

Anyway, I am a TF, ipad and iphone user too.

Yup, iPad might be better choice. But i feel that too many people around me having an iPad. I want to try android product or just wanna support android, by buying their product, so that they have enuf money to do more research and make it a better standard. I still believe future will be android/open OS. biggrin.gif
At least i will still can see a healthy competition in Tablet market

In Lowyat on 3d floor, a few meters from evernew, don't know name of the company anymore.
Evernew did not go lower than 1799 MR  tongue.gif  , their competitors could go to 1690  tongue.gif
On same floor there are 2 bigger walk inn shops, 1 of them also went down to 1699 MR.

Just get this device yesterday. Version 3.1. Without keyboard.
Tested browsing it will auto exit after 10minutes.
Also scrolling isnt as smooth as ipad.
Battery life also short if compare to ipad. I wonder if asus has the technology like ipad with smart battery charging which prolong life cycle of the battery?

where you bought it?
i tried finding for it at lowyat but no luck

got my ASUS TF last night. light bleed quite obvious, but like a few forumers said b4, dont bother and you'll happy.

im happy now.
anyone of you has the TF leather case or any case?
where can i get it other than online? thanks!

anyway, early assumption for this TF
1) design simply astounding
2) Honeycomb is really different compare to 2.X android (presentation wise)
3) Pretty fast load and smooth transition
4) battery quite fast drain

can u check what channel your modem is using? previously my router(unifi) auto set to channel 13 and i cant seem to connect as well, but after changing to channel 9, it can connect without issue already
hmm.. battery quite fast drain? by fast u mean how fast?

its not 9 hours just like being told (tablet alone). it only about 7 hrs. Anyway maybe some of back end processing i i dunno can cause the drainage

Can't download from Android Market. Malaysia is not allowed I guess. Try getting it from external sources and it works flawlessly.

specifications mentioned on marketing brochures... if you read fine print, normally will tell you how the time is derived. in TF's case, it could be playing some video...

but anyway, it depends on what you have been using it on, etc... if set screen brightness to 100%, 100% volume, download stuff, play flash games, use wifi, etc... sure finish faster than 9 hrs... smile.gif

as viravira replied... skype is region locked. supposedly not available for download to MY users. but like he said, you can get it elsewhere...

it was one of the apps i wanted to download... until i found out -- no video calls on android. so, gave up and now looking into just using Google Talk. well, android is Google's product... so i guess should use more Google services. smile.gif

Are you mentioning that we cant use skype for video call in Malaysia by default, or Android itselft by default cannot use skype video call? So resulting u use the google talk to make a video call?
