Maybe that for only citibank , for Standard Chartered Bank they still have to call the customer which apply thru online and there are agent for online application as well. Please dont blame the those agent which doing direct sales as their benefit not as good as online, thats why agent might giving misleading info scare that customer will go apply thru online.
