I just realize that suddenly my phone got something strange screen just after make a call.. I think I got this screen after I install some apps last nite... you can see from the image... try to uninstall a few app that being download recently but the screen still having the same problem.. every time after I make a call... I need to wait 7 sec before I can start using back my phone.. unless if i click cancel button... the screen is really annoying.. please advice..

Hi guys, im try to disable the camera sound. But I can't move the .prop file to /data with Astro, even tried with using desktop to explore.

to change the lockscreen wallpaper;
1. go to your gallery.
2. select the folder containing the picture that you want.
3. touch the picture and you will see a menu saying; "Set as".
4. select that menu.
5. you will be presented with a pop-up menu;
a) Contact icon
b) Home screen wallpaper
c) Lock screen wallpaper
d) QuickPic Wallpaper (in my case since I installed QuickPic)
6. select the one that said; "Lock screen wallpaper".
7. That's it. You are done.
8. Press the power  button to off your phone. Wait for a few seconds, press it back ON. You will see the new lockscreen wallpaper.

Hi morisa, thanks for the suggestion. The problem is when I did that, I can't see or find any of my pics in each folder ....I'm thinking of reflashing mine sgs2 or roll back.

Are you sure you have pictures inside your phone. Why don't you try snap a picture and open your gallery after that. This is done just to confirm about the picture availability.

it can be focus on far object.. otherwise the camera is defect one..
if sgs2 really can't handle these near object focusing, then its camera
really very bad..

This is what happened to the phone that RViN bought from me.
Brought in back to supplier and they said it's "out of focus" and they replaced 1 unit for him
after 1 week.
Now the unit he has got a dead pixel

Very unlikely. CyanogenMOD has been developing roms for countless smartphones and is all free. Just following their nightly builds will drive you insane keeping up/testing  with it. If you like their work, they will appreciate a donation for their efforts

HTC recently had announced their agreement to unlock the bootloaders but all are still waiting for their date. Sony Ericsson had already done that with their Xperia series.

Well even in this thread and several other threads, I see many new users who in their first entry into Android expressing their wishes and showing intentions to root, flash rom  etc even though they are still noobs. I have received many PM from such users ( probably they are shy to post in forums  ) asking me to guide them or explain certain Android terminologies. Some are so noob that questions like - how to format SD card, how to enable mass storage , how to install apk files, how to push adb files, how to use terminal etc are asked

Yeaps finally got it replaced by the importer after a couple rounds of quick fire sessions.

Apparently they only replace it once so if you have a defective unit the 2nd time around you are out of luck. What nonsense!

But checked thoroughly the unit I took so very happy and cooled down a lot now , I think this will be my last Samsung phone though, the QC on this phone sucks despite it being their top end phone!. Thanks for the help Mike, sure its not your fault but must be a little careful next time. Check the stock they give you as damn these importers can be sneaky!

me too. the autofocus / macro focus has same distance. no difference

is it software or hardware bug?

can your camera focus on far object? if it can then this could be the object too near to focus..
different camera will have different focus distance..
you may want to move backward a litlle bit when try to focus the near object..
or is there macro mode on sgs2?? sorry i dun know as i dun have one..

gah..i need new SP..just notice got tiny line (not scratch maybe)...
