Factory reset will wipe firmware?  Just now I read that, we should do hard reset after flash firmware, not factory reset which will wipe out the latest firmware and restore to the old one...

That's a good reason to get the SGS2 now while it's still the fastest droid around. We're probably gonna see a quad-core CPU and upgraded GPU and a qHD SAMOLED+ in the S3. But I doubt Sammy's gonna go beyond 4.3" on the display. So let's stop talking about the S3 and stick with the S2. I still haven't got mine yet  Hoping official set is Exynos. Sure AP set would be less than official price by then, but still so long to wait.

that's true! but if u send it here, for lcd repair for eg.. the superamoled+ will cost u more than rm600 for lcd alone.. if u send it to UK, most u have to pay for courier is rm150..

are the SGP Screen protectors in the market now original? coz its not available on SGP's website yet.

worth switching sgs2 to sensation? list of tegra games is very tempting while currently sgs2 only able to play samurai2 and pinball hd  with chainfire3d >.<

LOL Sensation not using Tegra2 also. No point comparing like that. Save for the chainfire thing.

Yeaps finally got it replaced by the importer after a couple rounds of quick fire sessions.

Apparently they only replace it once so if you have a defective unit the 2nd time around you are out of luck. What nonsense!

But checked thoroughly the unit I took so very happy and cooled down a lot now , I think this will be my last Samsung phone though, the QC on this phone sucks despite it being their top end phone!. Thanks for the help Mike, sure its not your fault but must be a little careful next time. Check the stock they give you as damn these importers can be sneaky!

Also apparently the dead pixel issue is quite common, you can check from the diagnostic menu *#0*#

Mine is 16GB + 32 GB External !!!

If you have been following this thread, you will know that only 2 GB is to install apps. The balance about 12 GB only will be use to store your apps supporting data ( example games data, newsfeed, RSS, tweeter, backups, reference apps data etc ). The 2 GB you can install 400 to 500 apps as most apps small size few MB only
If 2 GB is not enough I suggest you don't buy the phone as only some freaks will ever install even 300 apps not to say 400-500 !!!

i was at one restaurant for lunch and then one malay lady aged around late 20s or 30 years old went in with her 2 kids, aged around 4 and 6 years old..

and both of the kids brought ipad2 with them!
