Same thing happens on my hf-1, after amped still not much difference. Perhaps it will benefit from a dedicated amp? Which will be about the same price(or more!) as the phones and the improvement is about 10-15%?
Hope there is another KL's head-fi meet soon... |

Yup, limited run on 450units. With John Grado siggy on the pizzabox. Woodies housing, silver grille and new driver(rumour?). Too bad I nvr listened to any grados myself b4 I bought it. Can do a comparo if there is a meet. I saw a sr-225 in mikechai audiophile meet last time...not sure whose sr-225.

yup, that's quite true. When you buy higher end phones, you'd need some serious amps to drive them, with the exception of some low imp phones. So, there's a big leap in price as u move from mid-fi phones to hi-fi phones.
ahhhhh feel so nice getting rid of all my stuff hehehehe 1 more thing to go(sr71)! |

Ermm a question about my SR60. How come when I tried to cover the back of the phones with my hands, the sound quality just...'drops'?
and is there anyway I can reduce the sound leakage? XD |

You mean you covered the screen of the earcup? Don't...it's open cans. The way u did defeats the purpose of the cans. I must agreed it leaks a lot...if you want to get the best sounding, listen to it in quiet environment.

It also caused the sr60 to sound terrible. |

No that won't harm your cans. You can even cover the whole cans with cloth during break-in, just to reduce the noise when you are not listen to it.

Leaking only matter to peoples beside you right My akg271s is not bad, leaking nothing at all and u hardly heard anything outside. I think the sound stage is wider and deeper than sr60. |
