QUOTE(teckhooi @ May 14 2011, 09:49 PM) how to turn to black screen? to test screen bleeding. and need to set brightness to higest , right? Just use a black color photo (I download a black image jpeg file). To see the bleed you have to set to the highest and be in a dark room.

Me and my friends bought 3 units on the very first release day. None got the so called screen bleed issue.
Consider ourselves lucky?

I really want the iPad 2 but I'm worried about the screen. How to check if it's a new batch?

So far I've not seen any light leakage free units around. QUOTE(FaezFarhan @ May 15 2011, 02:52 AM) I really want the iPad 2 but I'm worried about the screen. How to check if it's a new batch? You can check your production date using the serial from here, http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.htmlBut then again, my first unit taken on 6/5/11 was a week 18 (May) unit, but my second unit on 13/5/2011 was a week 17 (April) instead

QUOTE(FaezFarhan @ May 15 2011, 02:52 AM) I really want the iPad 2 but I'm worried about the screen. How to check if it's a new batch? Stop being silly. There's such a thing called warranty. If there's bleed, claim warranty, they give you a new one. New one come, if still bleed, go exchange again. Your only concern would be your kiasuness. And if your kiasuness triumphs, the next concern is if you have the patience to wait for new exchange units to arrive. For me, unless it a major bleed, i wouldn't stress over one tiny bleed in a non significant area.

My first unit, week 18 (May) production Second unit, week 17 (April) production Somehow my second unit appears to be brighter than first unit... when both set to 100% brightness.
