Remember when I post those pic comparing Samsung and LG panel. Might be true whats being reported. Samsung panel is not as bright as LG.

Does it mean even the Samsung unit is affected just not so serious? Cause mine looks 'ok' compared to some others...

Or maybe my iPhone metered both photos differently lol.

Just stay with it if it's acceptable for you because even you ask for exchange now, it would be the same, only slightly better or worse.

So..

Did Apple use Samsung's new tech. (Not IPS but similar) for their new batches? If there's still light bleedings then I think it's the assembly that's giving it a problem.

iPad2 uses glue to stick on whilst iPad uses clips. Plausible?

Well, if you claim now you might get a 1-1 exchange which is most likely affected too. If you claim later, it is probably a refurbished unit but most likely repaired smile.gif

I have opened 3 units so far, all have light bleeding sad.gif But I don't know if they are Samsung or LG panels.

Deal directly with Apple through the Call Center smile.gif

Most likely they will ask you to send your unit to an Authorized Service Center.

To be frank, not everyone notices it. My friend did tell me his unit had no screen bleeding. For him its acceptable, but I took a look and then showed him and there is actually screen bleeding.

So basically, it depends on the user. If you don't mind then its all good. But his is minor just like mine too... If don't look carefully won't notice it. Definitely not like the one shown in the first post.

Depends, my first unit the leakage was at the side.. so when watching movie it can be quite obvious.. my second unit it was at the home button area.. so when watching movie its not at the black bars smile.gif

I watch at about 60% brightness.

Hi All, if i brought my ipad from appstore online and wishes to claim the 1-1 warrenty from them, what should i do with the existing unit?

DHL ship back to them? of just return the problematic ipad to any authorize dealer?????
