Well just now went to machines KLCC. The service person told me that even if send it now also wont confirm can get 100% no screen bleeding unit. What is worst is that they already send quite a few units back to claim but all are rejected by Apple. Now they are giving pressure to Apple to came up with a guideline and confirmation on the screen bleeding issue. All we can do now is to keep on raise case to Apple customer service so that they can have enough amount of case to show the seriousness of this screen bleeding issue.

I dont buy their story. Some of these so called Service Center are run by mobs. Keep giving excuses. So far, all the response even when we called to Apple Care (SG) is that this is a 'known' problem. Only thing they cant guarantee is the replacement wont necessary be 100% backlight bleed free. QCD for example, refused to check my unit the the problem, only requesting me to leave it there to be sent to SG or take it as it is.

VR Tech for example, well, also did not checked my unit but confirmed that its not something 'new'. The counter girl know immediately known the problem when I showed her the photo taken for my unit. Just leave a photo of the bleeding screen in your Ipad and show them to the staffs. After they lodged a complaint/case, then only reset the machine.

Or best, just call Apple to lodge a case. Just give them your case number and they will process it without 'barking' at you.

I've already log a case yesterday. Today went to Machines and they told me that even if got case number they also can't confirm. Unless got confirmation from Apple that can 1 to 1 exchange. Because if not, then they need to send the problem unit back to Apple and they will decide whether can 1 to 1 exchange or not. If rejected then no 1 to 1 exchange. Well that is what Machines told me.

Apple Care approve base on verbal only, if they did key a note into it then the service provider has to do it using your case number, but we can't be sure for certain they did it right? For my case they said will be sending me an email but in the end also didn't send email sad.gif Only the mail to survey their customer service performance came dry.gif

yup its true, Apple has to approve the purchase. when machines/mac city/whatever other resellers send it back to apple, they own the right to approve the defect.

cause every tom d*** and harry are taking advantage of this screen bleeding issue, dun have also say got smile.gif

i think they have certain guidelines like how they confirm a dead pixel case, it has to be more than 1 dead pixel

The specification is more than 2, meaning at least 3 to claim warranty for dead pixel. I read this somewhere before for the 9.7" screen.

I always sketch on my iPad and I always turn full brightness for the color accuracy.
So this issue is kinda ignoring me.
What number i should call for Apple Online Store CS?

So far after 2 days of use I barely notice the issue. Most of the sites I went to have bright background. I guess some can tolerate it since the impact of bleeding is minimal.
