There is no guarantee that if you had NON-LG, it wont bleed. In fact, backlight bleeding is very common. Its just that people dont bother with them when they purchase a low end TN panel. Most of the time, complaints are coming from those who bought expensive IPS or PVA panel from either Samsung, Dell, Apple, HP, etc. Unless you find a way to eliminate backlight completely (like using AMOLED), backlight bleeding is gonna stay with us for many years to come.

It wont be annoying unless you wanna watch movies with two black bars, then it become quite obvious. That also depends on your lighting condition. Some will watch them in complete darkness which is the most obvious, but others like me will want to have some dim lighting where its only visible if you turn the brightness pass 50% or more.
