my friend went to a reseller shop and the shop charged him RM80 for the "shipment" cost for shipping the problematic ipad back as his ipad was brought on the apple online store but not from the reseller.

I just got my replacement from VR Tech this morning. It still bleed, but only at the whole left side vs the whole screen previously. I had like 4-5 bleeding spots on the left side but at much much smaller scale. Just a tiny spot like those video on Engadget. At 50% brightness, it was almost unnoticeable. Definitely an improvement over the previous unit. Will post a pic later comparing it to my previous unit photo.

I truly recommend going through VR Technology because I sent mine last Monday and already got it today.

I just called Apple Online Store CS for replacement, she said currently the iPad 2 has no stock so I have to wait within 1-2 weeks and the DHL crew will contact me within 2-3 days, But is ok at least they do replace for me.
Honestly the Apple Online Store's after sales service is so much better compare to local Apple Premium Reseller...

Top pic is previous unit... Bottom pic current unit aka replacement.

Much better from what I can see. If you compare both pics, can see replacement is slightly darker at full brightness.

Here's mine.

First unit (Week 18),

Second unit (Week 17),

Here's mine... could be my iPhone metered differently or the week 17 is really brighter at maximum... Either way, the leakage seems more or less similar...

I also noticed the same thing. My new unit is week 18 as well. I do feel that the brighter unit is slightly more vibrant.

Haih..... I think I'll just wait a while before I go for a claim as I think it's kinda pointless at the moment.
To me getting a refurbished unit with no bleeding problem is more preferable as refurbished units are units that we send back for warranty claims now.
What's the point of a 1-1 exchange if u get the same problem, right?
