hi guys,
I am thinking to buy 600A later but need to clarify with you guys before I buy :
1. Can it play bigger size MKV file? like 20-30gb
2. Can it access to my PC folder via wifi and stream from there? Any lag or delay issue encounter?
3. Can it play downloaded bluray movies?
4. I have plasma tv and home theatre system, how the connection like if put in 600A later? TV --> 600A, TV --> home theatre?

Any 600A users here? please share your experience smile.gif

1. even realtek 1055 also can support 40gb... but i using realtek 1186 now, no issues with 40gb but some of video files may cause the player hang and quit back to home screen
4. recommended to get proper AV receiver system as those can support DTS digital audio with better audio quality such as pioneer HTP-521... usually tho HTiB doesn't support DTS and you have to check ur user manual for the supported audio format... usually the common setup will be media player > AV Receiver > TV... bcos TV audio output never give good audio quality to audio system as i tried...

The "specification" page, just provide irrelevant output of a player casing sitting on a carpet.......without "specification"..
Anyone know what is the maximum capacity supported for 3.5" HDD in HD900B?

Not sure about the max capacity. I am currently using 1.5TB HDD. No issue

Added on June 18, 2012, 2:56 pmJust recall. Read somewhere that can use up to 3TB
"Any SATA 1,2, or 3 hard drive of up to 3TB in capacity can be installed, 2.5" or 3.5". The player itself supports up to SATA2, so a SATA3 drive will only work at SATA2 speeds."

I just bought MY HD600A from Beijing, so far so good but some online movie will hang even i'm using Unifi. (I learned from some China forum this is due to heavy server, not because of the internet speed)

BTW, anyone knows any good DIY links that able to watch latest US series?

Hi all,

I am using the 910A. It has no problem in playing 3D files...even those 30G and above.
But the Hitv is always slow... the only IPTV site which is smooth(sometimes) is the QQ.
Anyone of you experience it? Or it is my set or the setting?

Thanks

In order to passthrough lossless HD audio ensure Himedia 900A HDMI output to your Yamaha amp and under the audio settings

1. HDMI Output select RAW
2. HD Audio Core Output select HD Audio 7.1

Btw, what is your Yamaha amp model.

Thks, chungf1, will try those settings tonite. Yamaha amp RXV-567 7.1, IIANM.

Added on July 19, 2012, 9:35 amThose settings did not help, amp still display DTS not DTS MSTR which it does when I use my Dune for the same BD ISO file. But the image quality, can't really complain.

Added on July 23, 2012, 9:50 amFinally got it to DTS MSTR, changed the setting on the amp to straight. Thks again, chungf1.

Which model do you refer to?
I am using HD900A and set the audio output to RAW. No problem bitstream DTS HD track to receiver.
Realtek chipset going to be the weakest link in your setup... shakehead.gif

HD600B more versatile with additional digital coaxial output, USB 3.0 and gigabit LAN 10/100/1000.
