Thanks on your advises, i think i understood now.
USB3.0 nothing help in playing move, it just helpful in transferring files.

Seem like should be enough go for 600A, cause i just need play 20GB-30GB mkv file through USB external hd, and no worry on heat issue on 600A as well  smile.gif
Any one try before can 600A play movie on external USB DVD or BD room?

Anyone can recommend which shop selling 600A at Lowyat?
*
Could try looking here.

Bear in mind that if you are using an USB 3.0 ext HDD, the 600A which uses USB 2.0 may not be able to detect. I was told that for another brand, it does not work. S
o, you should check this out with the seller if you getting a USB 3.0 HDD.

Is it correct to say that if you do not view 3D, then no need for the HB900 series?

yes can say like this, but still 1186 higher specs than 1185 chipset de, 750Mhz, 512M DDR3, HDMI 1.4 n Support Adobe Flash, when try the 1186 player operating speed is much faster than 1185 player de

for Android, this function i feel got many apps not compatible de, so just can say is a extra function only..

but as i say hd900a price rm399, so why still nid pay extra but get low specs (1185 chipset) player sumthing like ac ryan, xtreamer...himedia also is a very good brand..

Does the faster 750Mhz helps in producing better PQ, etc?

I don't think its your player hang but rather, its the homeplug connectivity issue. I am currently using ACRyan connected to my NAS via homeplugs and occasionally, the playback seems to just hang too (no discrimination between HD and non-HD contents). Turns out, its the homeplug that occasionally zot zot doh.gif

Will the problem go away if you use cable instead?

For me, don't find any difference between using the internal HDD and the external HDD on the 900B. Cannot see any difference.
What do you mean by "still buggy"?

Just read the manual carefully. Use the green button on the remote to activate the function. I also overlooked that function previously tongue.gif

did anyone encounter the himedia 900A player stop playing video files at certain session?
the player will hang at certain session for 2-3 seconds, stop and quit to menu...
it happened to some of my video files too, so doesn't seem like video file corrupted...
but i never encounter such issues when using 1055 chipset...
*
I encountered that on the 900B. Did not have the problem when playing the same video file on the notebook or other player...

The "specification" page, just provide irrelevant output of a player casing sitting on a carpet.......without "specification"..
Anyone know what is the maximum capacity supported for 3.5" HDD in HD900B?

*
Not sure about the max capacity. I am currently using 1.5TB HDD. No issue

Added on June 18, 2012, 2:56 pmJust recall. Read somewhere that can use up to 3TB
"Any SATA 1,2, or 3 hard drive of up to 3TB in capacity can be installed, 2.5" or 3.5". The player itself supports up to SATA2, so a SATA3 drive will only work at SATA2 speeds."
