Can Himedia play mkv or m2ts native frame rate 23.976 with output native frame rate hmm.gif

My Egreat R200 play native frame rate 23.976 with hdmi setting Auto and 24hz ON but projector display show frame rate 24hz doh.gif

Added on March 25, 2012, 2:46 amMajority mkv or m2ts movies frame rate 23.976fps which is found Realtek base media player unable to output true frame rate.
Just bought Himedia HD900B test with original firmware 1.0.3.8 check projector display info show 24.00hz then revert to old firmware 1.0.1.13 test check projector display info still show 24.00hz cry.gif try Onkyo amp switch off video processor check projector display show info show 23.98hz rclxm9.gif now enjoy movie motion more natural especially on panning scene try on my Samsung TV plasma but display info show 1080p 24hz maybe TV do 3-2 cadence or just round up to 24hz.
Hope this information help Himedia HD900 series user for those who notice with un-natural motion scene or suttering issue.
Hope Himedia engineer add HDMI specific setting 1080p 23.796 next firmware. icon_question.gif

Himedia HD900B test mkv/m2ts playback framerate 23.976 on old firmware 1.0.1.3 with Onkyo amp video processor OFF through to Mitsubishi HC4000 projector display info show true native framerate 23.98hz then update to new firmware 1.0.4.7 test out display info 24.00hz result between native framerate 23.976 and 24.00hz no different playback didn't show any video shuttering every 42sec as reported on ntsc land. Hope Himedia next firmware with specific setting on 23.976hz or 24p auto.

Bro, maybe your internal hdd on timer sleep mode.
Please go to SETUP menu then enter INTELLIGENT SETTINGS and check INTERNAL HDD POWER OFF THRESHOLD select to NEVER.

You mean mediaplayer optical cable OUT to your amplifier optical IN to decode DTS or Dolby Digital 5.1 sound.

normally where you download? i tried to download from official himedia website but seem the speed are damm slow...
i found the firmware at futeko website but may afraid is customized firmware which may corrupt my player

It's OK download from futeko website if any issue just revert back to your existing firmware.
Like currently I'm having playback issue on particular high bitrate mkv 35gb picture stuttering
and Dolby TrueHD sound drop on new firmware after revert back to old firmware problem solved.

Just got the 900A but not able to access DTS MA audio on my Yamaha Amp from my BD ISO files.

Can someone please help with the audio settings?

Thks
*
In order to passthrough lossless HD audio ensure Himedia 900A HDMI output to your Yamaha amp and under the audio settings

1. HDMI Output select RAW
2. HD Audio Core Output select HD Audio 7.1

Btw, what is your Yamaha amp model.

hello, thinking of buying a HiMedia product to replace my first gen WD media player.

Im currently looking at HD600F, anybody using this model can tell me whether its worth getting it ?

and whats the difference between HD600F and HD600B other than HD600B can put internal hdd in ?
*
HD600B more versatile with additional digital coaxial output, USB 3.0 and gigabit LAN 10/100/1000.

so what is the advantag of 1186 over 1073? hmm.gif
*
Beside 3D playback and Android feature 1186 chipset more faster and stable than 1073 in term of high bitrate mkv hd-audio.
One of mkv dts-hdma 6.1 playback on 1073 loud pop sound every 40secs so unbearable till upgrade to HD900B test no more loud pop and like dual subtitles display.

u mean any 1186 chipset player support dual subtitle.
how about image quality? same?
how does your player handle rewind video? is it smooth as fast forward? my old 1073 player very jerky and stuck a bit when rewind.
*
If I not wrong only Himedia 1185 & 1186 can support dual external subtitle during mkv/m2ts playback.
To me no significant picture quality difference only slight over saturation on 1073 it still adjustable.
Yes somes of mkv/m2ts rewind not smooth but not all, prefer use search button.
