HD900B problem with USB connection.

Hopefully somebody has some idea why this happens.

I've connected a couple of hard disks to HD900B, through a powered USB hub plugged to one of the side ports of the unit. All disks are NTFS formatted.

The system is working fine for a long time until something takes the USB connection offline.

A reboot of HD900B doesn't help and the USB connection remains invisible.
It seems the only thing that works is to replug the USB AFTER HD900B is powered up.

Any way to get around it? It doesn't seem to be a power problem but I've no idea what else it could be.

Thanks in advance.

Bro, maybe your internal hdd on timer sleep mode.
Please go to SETUP menu then enter INTELLIGENT SETTINGS and check INTERNAL HDD POWER OFF THRESHOLD select to NEVER.

Thanks for the response.

It's already set on 'never'.
I also have the sleep timer to 'off'.
I do have 'safe power off' active though but I don't see why it would make a difference.

Whatever the case though, it should see the USB after a reboot but it doesn't.

One more detail that looks strange.
With the unit on, if I remove the USB cable, the HD900B reboots.
Is it supposed to do that? Aren't the external disks swappable?

did anyone encounter the himedia 900A player stop playing video files at certain session?
the player will hang at certain session for 2-3 seconds, stop and quit to menu...
it happened to some of my video files too, so doesn't seem like video file corrupted...
but i never encounter such issues when using 1055 chipset...

I encountered that on the 900B. Did not have the problem when playing the same video file on the notebook or other player...

You mean mediaplayer optical cable OUT to your amplifier optical IN to decode DTS or Dolby Digital 5.1 sound.

The player seperate the channel by SITE, each SITE has many channels. If roughly estimation... few hundred channels perhaps...

The firmware file is normally a compressed tar or rar file. You can't just rename it to install.img, you have to unpack/uncompress the downloaded file to extract the "install.img" file

Hi all,

I am using the HD910A.
I notice the speed of hitv contents is always slow, does anyone else experience it?
Usually you will select the multiple line? or any specific line during the launch of the HiTV?
When i use the youtube, the speed is ok even it is HD contents.

Thanks

It's OK download from futeko website if any issue just revert back to your existing firmware.
Like currently I'm having playback issue on particular high bitrate mkv 35gb picture stuttering
and Dolby TrueHD sound drop on new firmware after revert back to old firmware problem solved.
