Anyone noticed microstutters on q10pro when playing video files? Sometimes is really annoying and how do i play full screen without the black bars at the top and bottom using the media player ( without adjusting the aspect ratio )

No microstutters here. What type of files are you playing?

Black border like this one?

Oh, you will get top & bottom black bars if video wider than 16:9 in this case. You want to make it full screen and cut off left and right parts?

Perhaps is the 24p pull down during encoding... Or miss match in settings. Every movie or just a few?

The bars... I don't recall it having native zoom... Perhaps you can find a player app that has this feature, I or change TV setting...you will lose a lot of visuals you know...

So u suggest watching it at the current aspect ratio ( 16:9 ) with black bars at top & bottom? The stutters happened to most of the movies, not every movies sweat.gif

its your choice. Some movies are OK. Some look strange...eg you see only 2/3 of a person's face laugh.gif

you use "stutter" which implies it's quite serious...anyway, read this article, check & play with your settings make sure they are all consistent and see if it improves...can't eliminate if it's source problem

try the diff settings at the box... for 2160p, 60fps, 30fps, 24fps.

possible your files don't work well with some of the settings.

The answer lies in the type of files.

QUOTE(Bliz @ Jan 10 2017, 10:09 AM)

Describe yr "MKV" files, the answer is there.

Mkv is only a container, whats in there?

Same movie can be mkv 2gb or 30gb.

Some 23.99 fps, some true 24fps, some others dunno what.... laugh.gif

That's what I said... if source file problem nothing much we can do...

If he has the source, he can try rewrap it back properly...assuming the ori encoding was done properly

Have you tried different apps to play?

The stutters whole movie or some moving/panning scenes?

Play on PC OK?

The stutter only happens randomly, sometimes after 30mins stutter for like 1sec then back to normal. Scene doesn't matter as the whole movie can be action packed but then the stutter random happens like maybe 1-2 times during the whole movie hmm.gif

no need to speculate if it's the box or the tv or file.

just take the file and play it on another player, a pc, yr fren's.

can also get a different file of same title, try it.

from yr description, i will say it is the file.

i have seen this a dozen times. biggrin.gif
