One advise to you. Do not install the latest 2.00 Android N firmware. Not stable and full of bugs.

What kind of bugs? confused.gif

Hi, I am getting black border on all the videos playback with MediaPlayer (Q10 Pro - Android 7). All other apps and video player like YouTube is able to display at 100% full screen with no black border. Issue found on MediaPlayer only. Note - MediaPlayer app itself is able to display at 100% too. Just videos cannot.

Any idea how to solve it? Thanks. smile.gif

Check its settings for an option to change aspect ratios or black bars.. Else, install Kodi.... During playback > Crop Black Bars.
*
Tried that but nothing change. No such issue on Kodi. But I want to use built-in MediaPlayer which is smoother and better.

"black borders"... the top and bottom black borders with cinemascope/widescreen videos? that would be normal, correct viewing.

or u mean u want to fit that into full screen? for that, u just press the lower right "menu" button at the center square of the remote control, find options, toggle between "fit full screen", "no full screen". fitting into full screen may not give u the right aspect ratio - u may get a distorted picture.

youtube and other videos already cropped, no need to manually adjust.

note some TV's have options for that too, u can try them.
*
Pressing menu button just bring up the navigation bar only. No option.

that, i am surprised.

older models using same remote will bring up a full menu for video, soundtrack and subs options.

possible changes with android7 firmware; u should want to know where to activate those options.

ask yr seller.. and perhaps other users of this model can help u.

i haven't got one yet!
*
I managed to narrow down the issue. The black border only happen when playback video from my DLNA media server. Local videos in SD card, USB HDD and internal HDD are working perfect. Menu button will bring up settings just like you mentioned.

Seem like it is using different player as the UI is not same. hmm.gif

Damned! Envy!

Did you buy it from Nicety or...? How much?

Looking at the remote, think it's well built, doesn't feel cheap and flimsy as compared to other boxes Sunvell, Beelink, Nexbox range..
*
Nope, didn't get from nicety. RM570 is what I found locally so far.

Yes, build quality is surely better than other cheaper boxes.

Thanks for the feedback. I think Nougat is not officially release for Himedia Q10 Pro yet.

It's official. v2.0.1 should come out soon.

Anyone noticed microstutters on q10pro when playing video files? Sometimes is really annoying and how do i play full screen without the black bars at the top and bottom using the media player ( without adjusting the aspect ratio )
*
No microstutters here. What type of files are you playing?

Black border like this one?

The black bars at the bottom and top, not side. I am playing mkv files mostly ( full hd and 4k )
*
Oh, you will get top & bottom black bars if video wider than 16:9 in this case. You want to make it full screen and cut off left and right parts?

FYI. iPerf3 result shows that Q10 Pro Wi-Fi AC performance indeed improved in Android 2.0.1 firmware although still not yet reach 200 Mbps but more than double based on previous result. Android 5 1.0.9 firmware should get same improvement too I believe. rclxms.gif
