Bought a q10pro yesterday, setup and running on my Sharp UE630x, may i know the what is the correct TV output i should set to? Both on my TV and Himedia Q10 media player , is it 2160p at 60Hz? How about colour space?

*Just found out need to set my TV HDMI settings to Full, but can't find any info about the q10 player since no user manual is supplied dry.gif *

It really depend on your TV spec. For my tv, i set it to 2160p 60Hz and max video color space up to YCbCr420 10 bit only.

My TV is sharp UE630x, it doesn't support HDR, 10bit i supposed is for the HDR?

Yup. For HDR, you need 10bit to get proper color gamut and gradiant

So my colour settings for my TV should be 8 bit, anyway is the HiMedia wrapper only work with locally stored media? While playing from NAS it seems like is defaulted to Kodi player, i have noticed the build in himedia player is playing back more smoothly and image quality seems better as well

My new Q10Pro auto detected my TV's resolution so I didn't have to make any adjustments. I think it should also auto detect yours.

So your q10pro is outputting 4k resolution to your TV? I have a few 4k movies here

Anyone noticed microstutters on q10pro when playing video files? Sometimes is really annoying and how do i play full screen without the black bars at the top and bottom using the media player ( without adjusting the aspect ratio )

No microstutters here. What type of files are you playing?

Black border like this one?

The black bars at the bottom and top, not side. I am playing mkv files mostly ( full hd and 4k )

Oh, you will get top & bottom black bars if video wider than 16:9 in this case. You want to make it full screen and cut off left and right parts?
*
Yah want to make it fullscreen without the ugly black bars at the bottom and top laugh.gif

Perhaps is the 24p pull down during encoding... Or miss match in settings. Every movie or just a few?

The bars... I don't recall it having native zoom... Perhaps you can find a player app that has this feature, I or change TV setting...you will lose a lot of visuals you know...
*
So u suggest watching it at the current aspect ratio ( 16:9 ) with black bars at top & bottom? The stutters happened to most of the movies, not every movies sweat.gif

Have you tried different apps to play?

The stutters whole movie or some moving/panning scenes?

Play on PC OK?
*
The stutter only happens randomly, sometimes after 30mins stutter for like 1sec then back to normal. Scene doesn't matter as the whole movie can be action packed but then the stutter random happens like maybe 1-2 times during the whole movie hmm.gif
