how do i see which amp is good enough to power the speakers?

I want to buy a morel tempo, so which amp shud i be looking at ?

1.5k for JUST HU is a very healthy budget.
i personally would stick to either alpine or pioneer, however the clarion wouldn't be bad at all especially when there are a thread about it and all the pros are talking about it too

see if you can get some audition between the HU brands/models, however first and foremost, pick the brand/models within your budget, and compare the specs and functionality between them. HUs are a tad bit more straight forward when it comes to choosing, it can come down to the functions that they provide, or even the face plate/LED designs as it is something that you WILL be looking at no doubt, be it selecting songs or even your own personal tuning after you're done at the shop

kenari rear oem spk box can only fit in super thin speaker..most aftermarket speaker wont fit nicely.....:>

I wouldn't say the JL is 'better', just that the kicker L7 and RF T1 subs are somewhat old. I'd be surprised if you found any new subs. I dunno... but for me old used subs seem to lack something. Perhaps wear and tear?

And forget about the rear la. Get your front sounding nice first then only think about the rear. If your front sounds good then you might not even need the rear.

As for amp brands, there are a few which I've used and quite like : Sands (some Thai brand apparently) the cheapest of the lot, Helix A2, Helix Dark Blue, Brax GE, TRU Billet, JL and Orion HCCA. I like them all and this is just my personal opinion. I can't comment about other brands as I've never used them. I remember waaaaaaaaaaaay back then I heard a friends Mohawk Orange sub with a Mohawk amp, it was interesting but compared side by side with my Orion HCCA G4 + JLW3v2 sub, it was like comparing a BMW with a Lamborghini. Both are good but the Lambo is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

Since you're lost on brands and stuff, suggest you go to a trustworthy installer and stick with them. I personally recommend CV Audio Damansara Uptown Peter and Howie Choo from EA Autoworks. Both are pretty responsible and both have different brands and installation techniques and I personally like both their styles and after sales service. In ICE, aftersales service is the most important thing. You can have the cheapest price but if it still sounds crap after all that and no one wants to help you, it's still a waste of money.

guys, any suggestion for double din? budget 1.5k-2k.

pioneer? kenwood? jvc? sony?

Hey guys, just curious about the difference between single and double din, other than size? Are double din HU better in general? Like for the same price, a double din is better than single din?

can, but it will be running at 2ohm, so amp will be hotter, and signal to noise ratio 10x worse... so, not recommended lah

Size is the only difference. There's no such thing as double better than single or vice versa.

more specific, a RM2K single din vs RM2K double din.
single din will alwiz sound better as double din partial costing goes to LCD screen and etc..

for premium(high-end), mostly single din available.

with that price u can get morel maximo for superb clarity or alpine type R for its awesome bass....

guys, recently my mom purchased Sony CDX-GT600UI HU to replace her old stock proton waja HU which malfunctioned edi.

my question is, why is the sound is a bit inferior compared when using standard HU eh? speakers incompatible? the speakers are all functional though. (stock waja speakers)
