if u dun mind used unit, u can consider the following with a bit of top-up from ur budget:
1. Polkaudio MMC650 6.5" comps + passive
Price: RM350.00
used unit in mint cond, local set.
2. Aulux 4ch amp AXS-854
Price: RM380.00
this amp is NOT bad sounding!
if its new it should cost more than RM1.8K for both items

total: RM730.00 only

since its a 4ch amp, u can have future option to add the following:
1. sub
DLS Reference Series MW10D 10" with DLS Grill
* comes with ported enclosure built by autogadget
Price: RM400.00 used unit

or

if budget permits, use a CLASS AB monoblock to drive a sub.
u wont go wrong..
Cons: its pricey for 300RMS@4ohm above
Pros: u will love how ur sub sounds

listening impression: u need to experience it urself to fully comprehend why Class AB monblock is the most ideal to drive a sub

u can try out the following - proven!

class AB monoblock
1. mcIntosh MCC301M
2. mcIntosh MC443M
3. Genesis Monoblock series III
4. TRU Hammer H1

note: there isnt many amps out there which are class AB monoblock at 300RMS@4ohm +/-. they are pricey and its a small market for it.
most of the monoblock in the market are class D.

Stock tubes only cost merely less than usd10 per pc.

more specific, a RM2K single din vs RM2K double din.
single din will alwiz sound better as double din partial costing goes to LCD screen and etc..

for premium(high-end), mostly single din available.

*this is comparison to sound.

never have good experience with DLS ultimate amps. somehow the gain settings on the amp needs to be very high in order to bring out the dynamics of the music..

was told before the thai guys, set their DLS amp gain at 3oclock for competition...dats high

if ur into clean simplicity music then DLS might suit u. but if u wanna build an all-rounder system (plays from audiophile to pop/rock) then its not an ideal hardware.
