Hi. Can I file combined tax for this year and seperate next year?

Reason being he has a surplus of zakat that can minus off my taxes too. If file seperately I still have to pay tax sad.gif

Check if you get a receipt from your insurance co. to show the life insurance portion.

It shows PCB for 2009 = RM13

Doctor without license is not under MMA rclxms.gif

if not mistaken, every doctor are register with MMC but doesn't mean got register with MMA~

Actually you're required to file your income regardless of whether you pay tax or not.

You'll be in a bigger trouble if deduct PCB (name already on record) but no tax return filed. You prolly end up having to pay more wink.gif

I agree as it's always good to have your income declared to IRB. That way you've got yourself covered.

can i take my wife's medical insurance to claim under me if we are doing separate assessment? Also, at the same time transferring my life insurance to her?
i earn more than her so try to optimise the tax reliefs if possible.

previous year, when i had outstanding balance, I actually printed out the last submission page, then attached the dividend vouchers and my PCB form to IRB. Later, they returned me the vouchers and form, chopped that they have sighted it. One week later, they gave me back the difference

so the explainatory note saying that insurance paid for husband/wife is only relevant for joint assessment?

and what about the medical/education insurance for self, spouse and children? is it the same?

correct me if i'm not mistaken, but in a separate assessment, a husband/wife is allowed to claim deduction for buying (& paying) life & medical insurance on the spouse's name, no?
