That's for 2010 YA.

Right now, it is about 2009 YA which there is no internet/broadband relief.

Hi all,

I remember in 2009 govt announce 3yrs for interest paid for house loan from 2009 for income tax, can someone verify this ? and if it is true under which column we claim interest paid to bank to waive from tax?

Hi YewKhuay
I just recieved the form from LHDN. I am still not using thier online system. I noted that in the section D8D.
However I dont know how to fill up this portion. Anyone knows how to fill this section please let me know as well.

You would be eligible if you signed an S & P between 10 Mac 2009 and 31 Dec 2010. The interest on your housing loan is tax deductible if the property is not rented out. Note if you are on those promotion by developer where interest is absorbed by developer until OC, you will not be eligible for this deduction. also for one property only.

Hi, my wife is not working.. and all these while I declare my income tax as individual.

So should I continue to file it as individual or combine? What is the advantage of it filing it as individual or combine?

And can someone tell me what does "Ketetapan Umum Dipatuhi" means?

Thanks for the advice in advance.
*
If wife has zero income, choose combined to get the Tax Relief for Wife which is RM3000. If individual assessment, you don't get that.

Ketetapan Umum must be set to Setuju... ALWAYS !!! This is referring to the Public Ruling (aka rules of income tax)

If you go to https://e.hasil.gov.my/ is very confusing with the date....

Top title of menu says : e - F i l i n g 2 0 1 0

But the news portions says :-

PENGUMUMAN
Sistem e-Filing untuk Borang e-E 2009, e-BE 2009,e-B 2009,e-P 2009
dan e-M 2009 akan dibuka mulai 1hb Mac 2010

Hi Penangmee
Thanks. This is interesting. This does not apply only to purchase of new property from developer but also for the subsales as well rite?
2 questions, (1) I just signed the S&P end of 2009 and I have not start paying the loan because still under process, which means not applicable for me this round rite?
(2) Do you know if is eligable if you purchase the property with 2 names?

Actually that's correct

e-Filing 2010 is for Borang BE 2009 (assessment year 2009 smile.gif)

Tax relief for wife is "Suami / Isteri / Bayaran alimoni kepada bekas isteri (TERHAD 3,000)", even though i choose Invidual, I can still put this amount in. Not neccesary for combine accessment, right?

@Eden
Your KWSP & Insurance will share a portion of max 6K. However, if you have maxed out ur KWSP, you may transfer the Insurance portion to your wife.

max is RM6K. that's for KWSP + Life insurance.
There's another portion below that, max 3K, for Medical insurance.
