Charging handphone?..  yeah same like me. But it take more time to fully recharge compared with wall plug charger.  tongue.gif

YES..........Charging using USB tend to be slower than the wall plug charging.

measat 2 was launched back in November 1996 with design lifetime of 12 years, "inclined capacity" means it is run out of fuel to keep its optimum geostationary orbit position, I think it is ready to move itself to graveyard orbit in not too distant future

is satellite really using a fuel?

For those who waited for EuroSport in HD, it's available on Measat 3. (Finger crossed that Astro would take this channel). brows.gif

Hmmm....thought it powered by battery or solar energy systems so the lifespan will be longer (> 10 years) if compared using a fuel?

satellites use electrical power from on-board battery(charge by solar panel) to operate its transponder and on-board computer

no one has invented powerful enough electrical thruster yet, therefore fuel must be used to correct satellites obit position, see quote from boeing:
QUOTE
Small thrusts are required to correct for the tug of solar or lunar gravity and to reposition the satellite in its proper orbit and altitude. A satellite's lifetime as well as its launch weight is thus determined by the amount of fuel aboard for its thruster system.
