hey..as for paying the bill by using cash deposit, do we need to key supplementary card number to pay or just pay one shot using principal card holder's credit card number to settle the bill? because the bill stated principal and supplementary's transaction in the same invoice..
*pay in a separate credit card number or pay based on the principal card number?

Just pay everything into the principal card number. However, for CIMB Bank credit card, you need to pay the outstanding amount to the principal card and supplementary card separately.

Really hard to cancel HSBC Card:-

1) In 200x, I tried to cancel the card, it's successful, but 2 months later don't know what happened and gave me the card again.

2). Not long ago, I tried again to cancel the card, about one week cs called back and offered me to hold the card. They will waive my GST and RM 50 cash rebate if I spend RM 200 by using the card. sad.gif

If you are firm to cancel the card then the card will be cancelled. Nothing the bank can do to stop you if you are firm.
If you are weak and accept the "recovery" method employed by the bank, the card will naturally "boomerang" back to you.

Hey guys, I wanna ask something about HSBC Amanah M Power Platinum CC. The agent told me that they will waive the RM50 for GST.
In March'12 my card was approved and i just got my May'12 statement and i still did not get my refund for the Government Service Tax. I have already swipe lots and lots of transactions with the card. How long does it take for the GST to be refunded?

FYI, in the first quarter of 2011, HSBC launched their Visa Signature where the annual income requirement is RM100K. Prior to the VS, HSBC Plat annual income requirement was also RM100K but because they were "hadap" for customers, one did not need to earn RM100K to get a HSBC Plat (applies to all banks back in 2011 where one can apply for a credit card based on existing card).

And HSBC Plat card benefits are so so only and in order to maintain their customer base, they upgraded all Plat cardholders to Visa Signature which is deemed as a Premier Card (but benefit also so so only).

Click here to read my artilce titled HSBC Visa Signature - Gone is the Visa Plat published back in March 2011 at My Credit Cards blogspot.
Yes, agree fully to the above. Now banks are stricter in awarding CL to be in accordance with BNM wishes. Which is a good thing.

Vestor,

CL has nothing to do with Card Type in general but based on the bank evaluation on the customer's worth. Like I mentioned, previously, my HSBC Plat (of course now upgraded to VS) had a higher CL than those who has AUM of minimum RM250K with HSBC and automatically awarded their HSBC Premier World Credit Card. Up to today, I never had a HSBC banking account, so you go figure it out.

But if you want to know what is the minimum CL for Premier Credit Cards, click below link to see my table. However, the data for the table was obtained thru my no budget propriety research back in November 2011. Since then, HLB have reduced the annual income requirement for the Ex-EON VS from RM180K to RM80K and therefore the minimum CL should also decrease as of today. And it was reported by another forummer here that his CL for his MBB VI is RM20K!!! When I talked to MBB CS back then, I was told initially the minimum CL for MBB WMC and VI was RM70K but later was informed it was RM50K.

And did you know that RHB Tesco credit card CL go can up to RM100K  smile.gif

Same case here. I applied the card and it was approved in May. Called CS to ask and they said they will start giving the rebates after the promotion ends. Promo is still ongoing and will only end on May 31. So most probably it will be reflected in the June statement.

actually it depends very much til the end on what you want.. Most of the not so 'premier' cards offer loads of benefits namely Maybank2cards and OCBC TiMC.. some of the cards are branded 'premier' but offer not so much of a benefits eg. Your hsbc? So premier or not is just how u see.. To me my m2cards and OCBC are doing fantastic job and I love them more any other visa signature or world master cards around..

HSBC have no such thing as VI. It is VS.
HSBC VS to me is not even a premier card coz about all of HSBC Plat holders got upgraded to HSBC VS - so what's so exclusive about it if just about the whole bunch of their Plat holders own the card? As ZiNKaK mentioned ... Premier or not, it is all in your head and HSBC so called Premier cards privileges are nothing to MBB's VI or WMC range and maybe CIMB Premier range cards - CIMB VI / WMC / Enrich WMC.

You want Premier status ? Then go apply for MBF VI or WMC range. You will a have perceived "Premier" status.

you can check out the card over here.. http://www.hsbc.com.my/1/2/personal-banking/credit-cards#

3% rebate if spending between RM200 to RM3000
6% rebate if spending over RM3k

PLUS the above only applicable for transactions at the following:

Petrol: Caltex, Shell and Petronas
Groceries: Carrefour, Giant and Tesco

Other transactions are at 1% cash rebate

My opinion is limited places where you can get the 3%/6% rebate.. I'll still stick to OCBC TI / Maybank AMEX..

it is always a good idea to read up the product disclosure, terms and condition, card website, etc before signing up. you will be charged GST.

Again, another new insincere promotion from HSBC

http://hsbcamanah.com.my/1/2/amanah/person...AT_8PC_CASHBACK

the promotion stated there is 8% but maximum cashback you can receive is RM50 and minimum amount to spend is rm1500 doh.gif When you calculate it carefully, the maximum cashback is 3.33% only and NOT 8%. WHAT a misleading promotion is this !
