simple, these are the tricks or gimmicks to "con" customer to spend more using hsbc credit card

packaging and cover is nice but not the benefit

for the new tricky hsbc promotion, maximum cashback u can get is

20% for premier cards, (rm100 * 2) / (500+500)
15% for platinum cards (rm75 * 2) / (500+500)
10% for others (rm50 * 2) / (500+500)

the cashback above is excluding existing points and rebates

a lot of terms and conditions which i dont like - they only allocate certain amount per week. if u complain why u didnt get the cash back, they will tell you "quota for that week finished" u will never know whether they are telling the truth or not

but for new applicants, again, only first 20000 applicants will get rm50 cash back. swipe 3 times within 60 days.

good for those who are not existing HSBC cc holders becoz rm50 GST is waived upon 3 swipes

looks like only HSBC amanah offer platinum card, conventional HSBC only offer visa signature

that mean visa gold -> visa platinum, visa classic -> visa gold ?? is it HSBC or HSBC amanah ?

lol, read the T&C first before u apply for it. now its not too late for u to cancel it

just notice that HSBC amanah visa platinum require 36k per annum to get it. previously was 48k. looks like platinum has become same standard as Gold card already

soon the pavillion only allow VI, WMC and VS card holders to enter their premium toilet. no more "platinum"

Do u get any rm50 cash back once u activate ur card ? if not mistaken there is a T&C there where you have to keep the card for 6 months

the promotion stated there is 8% but maximum cashback you can receive is RM50 and minimum amount to spend is rm1500 When you calculate it carefully, the maximum cashback is 3.33% only and NOT 8%. WHAT a misleading promotion is this !

for cashback, get hsbc amanah cards. for higher points get visa signature. HSBC cards is really lousy nowadays in terms of benefit, better switch to Maybank 2 cards and OCBC titanium which give u higher rebates and points
