OT since this is HSBC card Topic but I thought I let you know that you don't have to "change" your Petronas to MBB2 because you can have as many MBB cards as you wish at any one time. So go get the MBB 2 and start earning 5XTP and 5% cash back on weekends. Also, you Petronas TP can be transferred to the MBB 2 CArds account should you wish to terminate it.

Do note for OCBC TMC you need to spend RM10K to get GST waived. If for petrol alone, please fo read http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1973206/+640#entry44596845 post #643

And thanks for the feedback on no "Amanah", someone else also feedback to me on the same in my blog.

thanks gen-x, for the post. look like 2card is much better in return. i will still go ahead for ocbc ti to get addition cl, also expenditure on that card will definately be more than 10k. after getting ti then will be applying for 2card to terminate petronas card (the low cl actually deter me for now).

not only that, you need to spend RM3000 (**Edited) to get 6%, next time check out T&C first. Click here to read more about HSBC Amanah CC at my blog.

I checked with HSBC customer service hotline. The fixed mthly mgmt fee 1500 and 2700 is a contra concept between hsbc and amanah. so it won't appear in our card statement and wont be any charges for it.

Need to spend RM200 for petrol 3% cash back, and spend RM10k a year to get the GST fee waived. LOL.

what is your comment about hsbc supplementary cc?

they told me, if my son take that card, i will not have to pay annual fee..n same as my son, no need to pay annual fee..
total swipe must 12 times per year, and it can be total for both card...
let say, i already swipe 12 times, so it will be ok if my son dont want to swipe his card..

my son dont want to use that card..so since he have the choice for not using the card..and since its free to apply for the card..
i am thinking to take that supplementary cc, so that i can avoid annual fee..

what do u think?n do u know any hidden information that i dont know, esp hidden charge..share with me..
oh btw, the said, even my son is not going to use the card, but he must pay rm25 per year for gov tax..

I don't get what you are trying to say here. You said that your son doesn't want to use the card right ? So how is taking the supplementary credit card going to help you to avoid the annual fee ?

At HSBC, only the HSBC/HSBC Amanah Premier MasterCard and HSBC/HSBC Amanah Advance VISA Platinum are free for life. For all other credit cards, one must use the card at least 12 times a year and the annual fee will be automatically waived.

No. No hidden charges at all. And yes, he must pay the RM25 tax whether or not he is going to use it.

he said that, to avoid annual fee, i have to take the supplementary card and must swipe my card or my son's card for at least 12 times..
that mean that 12 times swipe is the total for both card..so my son dont have to swipe his card, but i will be using mine for 12 times..

or is it true that i only have to use the card 12 times to avoid the annual fee?no need for me to take the supplimentary card?

You only have to use the card at least 12 times in a year and the annual fee will be automatically waived. There is absolutely no need to to get a supplementary card.
