The cash back is only applicable at Shell, Petronas, Caltex, Giant, Tesco and Carrefour. AND you must spend minimum RM200 per month.
Too bad. I'm using Esso Mobil.

Also note that the MPower Visa is not eligible for a lot of the Smart Privileges and Home N Away promotions. One that comes to mind is the discount for Agoda.

Guys, i have a HSBC Gold Mastercard (Conventional type), i looked at the HSBC current promotion for the HSBC Mega Sale Cash Back Programme. So for me to eligible to join the programme, i need to SMS for registration, then successfully registered. After charged my card, should i proceed way to acknowledge them i was purchasing something or just let it and their system will know my status purchase? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

I a bit blur here, you are not the first one to mention that you be upgraded to Plat. But there is no more HSBC Plat cards. Did you ask if you getting the Amanah card?

the Plat was brought back as Classic cards will no longer be issued. the minimum will be Gold, which will replace the Classic. hence, previous Gold cardholders will be automatically upgraded to Plat (only applicable to Visa).

it was announced by the bank a month ago. smile.gif

Yah, several people mentioned in the previous post. Would appreciate if any of you guys can post a picture of the Plat card when you receive it. And remember to photoshop it first, i.e. remove card numbers and name and expiry date.

Afaik, the major drawback of amanah card is you can't purchase or spend it on alcohol products and the credit limit is much lower than the standard card (this info from my friend).

If you got other cards, it doesn't really matter. But if say you only have a single amanah card, and you go clubbing and when the bill comes the card is rejected, how?

With regards to your enquiry concerning Amanah credit card, we would be
happy to provide you the relevant information. We would need to inform
you, all HSBC Amanah credit cards can be used at all merchants except
non-shariah compliant merchants (such as pubs, liqour store, spa).
Unlike HSBC credit cards (Conventional) it can be used at all merchants.

As for your enquiry regarding the benefits, for HSBC credit cards
(Conventional) there will be Reward Points given for card usage. For
Amanah credit cards, there will be 0.5% Cash Back Rewards given for card
usage on all retail transactions. Kindly visit our HSBC Amanah public
website (at www.hsbcamanah.com.my) and go to Personal > Credit Cards >
MPower Visa Credit Card-i, for further information on the benefits of
Amanah credit cards usage. Hope this information will help you and
