why the contractor charges me to install unifi at 1st floor? anyone experience this b4?
*
Because you exceeded the standard length of fiber optic cable that TM gives with free installation.

I don think so. The additional charge is because of install at Upper floor is not standard practice according to the contractor

u can only used port 1 which act as a trunk port that transport vlan 500 and vlan 600 to DLINK, the rest of the port is not configured, hence it's unusable. You can only used the port from dlink (port 1-3) to connect to all your network appliances. Second RJ11 is used as fax, and some said as 2nd line, hence you can't use it for phone.

USB port for DLINK manual to use share printer i think is on the CD.
i only know 15M fiber from FTB to BTU is free, as from RJ45 i have no idea as i personally pulled all the RJ45 myself to welcome the UNIFI, as i don't trust TM workmanship. I got no experience in fiber so no choice i need the TM guy to do it. tongue.gif

Are we able to reconfigure HuaweiHG850a so that the 3 LAN ports can be connected to network appliances? Anybody here has used the second port for fax machine?

Anybody here has used the USB Port on the DLink615 for shared printer?

Using TM custom hardware, won't it be better to install them on the ground floor, so that the whole house will get better coverage?

Hi,

Regarding the IPTV set top box, the screen shows user login and pin. May I know what is the user login and pin code? I have tried [username]@iptv and the password written on the application form but not able to login. Is there anyhow you can reset the pin code? Thanks.

Non-standard installation would include, amongst others, fibre coming in through the roof (versus via a drilled hole), running inside the plaster ceiling (concealed), length of fibre exceeding 15m, etc.

They *should* give out a receipt or order sheet for these charges.

i thought they should fill in the service acceptance form for the cable lengths and exceeding lengths?
what TM told me was the exceeding length of cables would charged by TM and comes together with first month bill, NOT payable to contractor.

The only thing contractor charges us directly is for special request such as concealing or cabling through the roof. That's what TM told me and acknowledged by my contractor as well.
