I don think so. The additional charge is because of install at Upper floor is not standard practice according to the contractor

you have been conned, just like me - to make u feel better
1) did they tell u they are not allowed onto the roof - no insurance ....
2) are you located in usj?
3) how much did they charge?

yesterday i asked another unifi installation team - for my office BIZ5
they said unless over the ceiling, conceal or casing - else no extra charge

i guessed i can't complain now, as i did not note down the extra charge on the acceptance sheet, and of course they did not provide receipt

it is really depend on ur luck now.... there is 2 types of installer now...

now TM have 30k pending to install within JUNE....

the 2 groups of ppl is 1. TM own technician.. 2. outside contractor.. they are pro n cons of this 2 groups of ppl..

1. TM ppl.. -- they will only follow what is in the contract... will not do conceal wiring... but they will not try to con you saying this cannot that cannot but to add additional charges... they have limited capability to do installation esp u need to conceal cable...

2.Contractor.. they will try to charge u whenever they have a chance.. will tell u this cannot, that cannot and if u want.. $$$..... they are capable to do all kind of way u want them to do.. matter of $...

TM has been trying to clear all the backlog which is close to 20k+ subscribers, im referring to Klang Valley for the past 3-4 months. They are trying very best but.
TM never thought UniFi response will be this good all 1 shot. Another issue is TM is also facing shortage of installers, major shortage and requirement to be an installer is sky high.

2 months is a short time, if you are from PJ, KJ, Bangsar, Jln Ipoh, Kepong/Jinjang, W.Maju, Setapak, waiting list now is close to 6 months if you submit online. Thats why avoid submitting online. wink.gif

Wow! UNIFI is doing quite a pretty good job and very minor to see people claiming for rebates or waiver.
*
I did mention this a few times before - I did get a rebate. A healthy RM149 for my VIP20. Took between 1 and 2 months IIRC... and lots of emails to both MCMC and TM, as well as a few phone calls.

I totally deserved the rebate. tongue.gif

I got over RM500 rebate from TM not disconnecting my Streamyx when I moved to UniFi. However, they only credited it to my Streamyx account and then closed the account with the RM500 credit still there! All efforts to get them to transfer it to my UniFi account have so far failed and it has been ongoing since August last year.

Oh, and I did claim for and get at least 3 rebates for loss of service during my Streamyx days if they failed to fix the problem within 3 working days.

Just got my VIP5 yesterday. So far so good, using some P2P software to monitor the usage since I'm living in a rented house with 12 other tenants. First 12 hours already 2Gb bandwidth gone. Anyway, has the limit cap started?

I have been charged for the RM 200 installation fees even I have applied before the deadline. When I contact them, they asked me to provide the evidence aka the blueprint application form but unfortunately after they said that they will "investigate" further there is no news from them. They even ignore my complaint forms, emails etc. Are there any other ways to complain so that I can waive the installation fees? Well the RM 200 is nothing actually but I don't feel like paying them when I am eligible for the rebate. Can't believe such a company like TM will ignores its customer's complains. They dragged the case for half year now they totally ignore me WTF!
