QUOTE(jolmy @ Apr 14 2011, 08:17 AM) Guess TM should really make some configuration to the Huawei modems to prevent such things from happening. Anyway, currently this morning, so far it is ok. isn't the huawei thinggy just a bridge device ? syn attack shouldn't reach it also... the voip is on a totally separated network, not a "ONLINE" network....

QUOTE(lighter @ Apr 15 2011, 05:08 PM) So far I have tried 2 method to connect UniFi in different way. 1. Using a PC/Server (Requirement 2 NIC) 2. Using Firewall/Layer3 switch which come with VLAN Tagging feature. I tried ZyWALL USG 100, 200 & 300. Create a VLAN over WAN and connect it. I have also try to login the Huawei HG655a. Not much things to do in there. there is the 3rd option.. using mikrotik products such as RB750/750G

QUOTE(LightningFist @ Apr 18 2011, 11:05 PM) [attachmentid=2164566] I have attached a screenshot of my download using unifi.. As you can see it is very unstable, going to zero a lot. It can also stay at 0 and fluctuate between 0 and 100 for a long time. Many times it times out and dies. Of course, fluctuating and timing out and going to zero is normal, but with this connection it is happening excessively. Mind you it's a very good site I'm loading off of. Also, I find that browsing becomes very slow (not during download) half the time, i.e. the connection is good and bad. Router signal is very weak.
well this is my upload for unifi.. on vip5 just curious, what router are you using ? and where is ur server or where are u downloading from ?

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Apr 27 2011, 12:22 AM) Are you sure... But... Why ur global-out is 2x ur global-in... And that makes ur total transferred data 1tb nothing suprising with that.. normal to have both up and down near 1tb when ur using a high speed line...

QUOTE(Protoss-Zealot @ May 17 2011, 08:07 AM) Seri Kembangan here. Unifi still down since midnight maintenance. 1am-8am now.. phone oso not working. if phone not working.. i wonder how during emergency if we need to use the phone to make calls... are they hoping that we have mobile line ? unlike the old pots days/dsl we can at least still use the phone... i think this will be a big problem in the future.. when the backhaul(vdsl/optics) is down you can't use the phone meaning everything is totally down...

QUOTE(cannavaro @ May 19 2011, 10:38 PM) Why don't you try asking the Landasan guys about it? IIRC there was someone here who said that the Landasan fellas went out of their way to help him set up his unifi with the RB750.. or was it Soliton? it was landasan... but they weren't quite familiar with the rb750 as they are more towards wireless deployment.. so it took them some time to figure it out.. but all and all its was okie.. good experience for them as they can add another source of revenue heheheheh

QUOTE(klseet @ May 20 2011, 01:29 PM) Btw, that vlan trunking by JinXXX using RB750+RB250GS is indeed a fantastic solution for those want to deliver both vlan.500 & 600 over a single Cat ! , well its only practical as most ppl have with their tv some kind of internet enabled gaming console or some sort of media players my rb750 and rb250gs is the best 300 bux investment i ever made.. its super stable... and IT WORKS.... now i only need TM to triple my vip5 speed to vip15 while maintaining the price and have some god damn sports channel on the iptv...

QUOTE(ckboon @ May 20 2011, 07:02 PM) it's better still if we can totally replace the TM solution including the modem itself... hope someone will come out with a solution for that... but it will be expensive as it need to have a fiber port.. actually there is. .. but are users willing to fork out 800 bux for the fiber optic device ? which makes not much difference as its only a bridging device...
