What the hell, my unifi went down again, for the 3rd time in 2 weeks ! Previously it was the modem that was burnt, then the technician took 1 week to come over to CHANGE the modem. Two days later, unifi down again. Called unifi again, took them one day to send the technician over to my house. This time, it was the router that spoilt. Changed the router, and 6 days later, which is today, unifi went DOWN again ! This time there's no light on the DSL, Internet and VOIP1. What the fcukk ?! I'm paying rm149/month and i expected good services from unifi. Instead, i'm getting constant downs from unifi, poor service from unifi, very slow response ( their hotlines take about 10~20mins for someone to attend to my call, using hp to call since house phone goes along with unifi ), and according to their technician, NO technician wants to come to my condo. What the heck. Anyone experience such problems too?

Wow, this is serious discomfort. Sorry to hear your series of problem.
I don't think I want to go with Unifi now since they are still full of bugs/reliabilities.
Imagine after 1 year, when the warranty is over. You have to pay for the equipment when they fail.

There's probably something wrong on their end. My net has been unstable after 6PM and then after 1am it just keeps timing out for 10-20seconds then back to normal again.

My problem started around 6pm yesterday. The internet is connected but there was no data coming in when browsing, the progress bar on my browser would just be stuck at 50% with "Waiting for....." until it timed out. But the weird thing is I can ping these websites. Like i can ping lowyat.net but when i go to the browser lowyat.net won't load. This morning seems to be back to normal.

I wouldn't want to be stupid leaving those equipments turned on during thunderstorm. I've had my fair share of burnt components in the past.

Very little chance of getting burned equipment as we are using fiber optics but power supply still got some chance of happening.

To all kind gurus: I still can't connect with my TP-Link TL-WR841ND V7.2 and Huawei HG655a VDSL. sad.gif  sad.gif I have followed exactly all the settings posted by klseet, including 'Detect Online Interval' = 30. I have even tried other values, 40, 50, 60 ... all the way to 120. No luck - WAN Connection Mode stuck at 'connecting ...'

Any other idea?

Problem solved. I re-flashed the firmware. Now it works like charm. rclxms.gif

Is your PC connected to the router by WiFi?
These symptoms may be due to interference from neighbouring routers.

Connect by cable to determine if this is the case.

Definitely not, connected via cable and not to the crappy D-Link router as well. About 1-2 pages back there are several same reports already.

P/S: I also wouldn't like to share the same WiFi channel with my neighbours so I usually change to a channel that nobody is using.

bro, regarding our problem yesterday, this morning i called unifi technical team and reported the problem and they asked me to switch off the router and at the same time they refresh my connection at their end. i hesitated and told them that i have switch on and off the modem and router several times since yesterday and to my surprise they told m i have been connected for 6 days until this morning! (that means eventhough i have swith off my router and modem for at least 10 minutes, i'm still connected). i just follow what they have instruct me and after that, no more problem.

Yes it will work. I don't see any benefit changing the IP class. Why not just stick to the default 192.168.x.xxx IP table?  hmm.gif

thanks. ip change is cause my PCs setting all gateway to that ip already. so just dont wnat to redo the PCsssss 1.
